5.0 out of 5 stars the best yet!!!!!!!
i own tomba and tomba 2. boy what a difference, t-2 is so much more organized in t-1 you go back and forth so many times it gets boring , but in t-2 it is way better. plus they talk and write the words on the screen so it is easier to understand for younger kids who cant read as well. if you have to choose this is the one but if you have t-1 and are considering buying t-2...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but the original is better
This was a fun game and some of the puzzles were really tough. However, I found that they attempted to make the game easier for kids by adding spoken dialog.(hint- TURN THE VOCAL DIALOG OFF if you don't want to be annoyed!- there are 3 people who do ALL the voices, and they don't try to hide it very well) Another thing I found annoying was the music- anytime you came to...

5.0 out of 5 stars Tomba 2: The Evil Swine Return., June 28, 2000

i thinkbthis game is great. somewhow it pulls of a mix between action-adventure and RPG with its challenging puzzles and pig smashing fun. it is so funny to see this big fat pig get thrown to the grond. if you get bored with killing pigs by jumping on them there are plenty of weapons ranging from a boomerang to a fire hammer at your arsonal. The main part of this game is the challenges to do through out the game. the more you do the more fun the game gets. some challenges you have to do to advance but a lot just get you cool items that let you fly or make you faster. whats real cool is you can get things in the later places that let you go back and find a hidden area or something cool. The game play is a winner except for the occasional jump from 2D to 3D that takes some getting used to. the cartoony graphics are great fun. so all around the game is a winner. rent it first if you are a hard core 3D action-adventure fan. if you like a great fun and funny game get it.

I rented this playstation game and got to the 8th sign/save point. It is one of the best Playstation games I have played. It's 2D, but has areas where you can move up or down, then it switches back to the 2d background. It has real voices, and good music. You get all kinds of cool little quests which are recorded in a little easily-reachable adventure journal. The quests keep your attention longer than other single-goal-at-a-time games. I recommend this game and\or it's predecessor, Tomba!.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, October 8, 2000
This review is from: Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return (Game Cartridge)
Tomba 2 is a great game with just one mistake: Tomba doesn't talk! Tomba's mosquito-like friend, Zippo does all the talking for Tomba, so we don't get to hear Tomba's voice. Other than that, the game's great!

4.0 out of 5 stars This game is a blast!, March 22, 2000

While I'm not a big fan of the RPG genre, this game successfully combines elements of RPG and platform games. Let me start by saying this game is a blast. While it's not a true 3D game, the graphics are in 3D although you move in a somewhat 2D fashion (similar to Crash Bandicoot). The graphics however are top-notch. The atmosphere is very cute and cartoon like but I'm a sucker for these kinds of games. Tomba 2 will keep you busy with many tasks to complete. And while not all of these tasks are essential to completing the game you will want to finish them just for the fun of it. The only complaint I have about this game is sometimes the controls are a little tough (swinging can be a little awkward at times) but once you get used to them it's not too bad. Also, get a game guide. This game's a monster and you should have a guide so you don't miss a thing. If you like platform games this one's a must. It takes a little getting used to but be patient, you'll be hooked in no time. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Great Return of Tomba, May 16, 2002
This review is from: Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return (Game Cartridge)
If you love the original Tomba from Whoopee Camp, you'll love this more!!

And if you think that this is a 3D game, you're incorrect because this is only a 2D platform game but it offers a lot of colorful graphics and delightful, humorous characters..
There are more puzzles to conquer and more "treasures" to find..To beat the game, you have to finish the events, find some crystals, which'll add to Tomba's AP total..It may make you dizzy but the act of playing is worth it.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return (Game Cartridge)
The evil pigs have returned. Now they stole Tomba's girlfriend Tabby. Now Tomba must defeat the evil pigs once and for all. The graffics are great and the screens are very colorful. Over 100 events to do and over 150 items you can get. Also you can do other things than bite or hit your enemies with something. Now as you defeat the evil pigs ( there are 7 of them ) you get special powers. (Like you can burn your enemies or freeze them.) If you played Tomba ( the first one) this game is 10 times better. You will play this game for hours. WARNING Do not try to beat the last evil pig before you get everything you want done. Once you try to beat him you can't go back.

Tomba 2 is a great follow-up to the original. It is more challenging and it gives that little RPG touch that this game needed to be successful. One con that this game has is it's poor sound quality, and if you want a 30 hour adventure RPG, this is not the game to get. However, this is a fairly short game that you'll want to play over and over again. This game is a game that requires a lot of thinking and should be a game that a parent would love to buy for their kids.
