A extremely intriguing book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Tombs of Anak (The Cooper Kids Adventure Series #3) (Paperback)
After I read this book, I wanted to learn more about the strange race of the Anakim, a race of giants with 6 fingers on each hand! It forced me to look up information on the internet, and even made me turn to the Bible, of which my searches have not left me unaided.I am not 9- 12 years old, yet this book still makes me ponder it's content immensly. Some parts I even read again in amazement! I recommend this book and the rest of the Cooper kids series to anyone, ages 9 to adult!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Tombs of Anak (The Cooper Kids Adventure Series #3) (Paperback)
This is a great book! It is very suspenseful, which makes it a perfect read for kids who like suspense. It will be too suspenseful for kids ages 6 & 7 and probably 8, too. The suggested age level is ages 10-14. It has a great message-how greed can overtake you! The Coopers- Jay, Lila, and Dr. Cooper go on another archeological adventure, searching for ancient artifacts. Filled with suspense and harrowing escapes to the very end, this book will keep you very captivated from cover to cover!

"The Tombs of Anak" is a spell-binding story. Peretti sure didn't miss the mark when he wrote this book. Jay, Lila and Dr. Cooper all impressed me with their faith. But I wonder where Peretti got the information on the Anakim race. I looked in my Bible and didn't find a thing about them.

If you thought Peretti couldn't get better....HA! (Rapha),

This review is from: The Tombs of Anak (The Cooper Kids Adventure Series #3) (Paperback)
It's Frank Peretti's brilliant novel writing skills...condensed! It's a super-cool family of archeologists--minus a mother--who investigate phenomena in the spirit of Indiana Jones, only with a Christian perspective. The Coopers are on a nice, run-of-the-mill, routine dig in Israel, when they uncover a huge pit. Then one of their crew falls - or is pulled - down, and never seen again. After being captured by the creepy Yahrrim, the local tribesmen who live in fear of their god, meeting their prophetess, Marah, and encountering a rough and mysterious desert rogue they are finally forced to enter. . .The Tombs of Anak. Riddles, action, suspense, and coolness are loaded to the gills in this book, just great for young people who want to read some cool stuff without the junk and gore of Illinois Jones, or whatever. And yes, there is Christian material in these books, as another reviewer so angrily stated. Refreshing if you ask me. Parental warnings: Lots of creepy stuff in this book...the Yahrrim are scary - when we first meet them, they're in the middle of an underground ritual - and lots of other scary things happen in the book. I read them when I was younger, and I thought they were cool. And I never needed the Arkansas Jones movies!

The Tombs of Anak is about a family of archaeoligist who go to a foreign country. There they meet a race of six-fingered people. Their god is Anak. Anak is evil, and is angered by a loss of his sacrifice. This family must fight to stay alive, and keep their faith in God all at once.

Unbelievable Adventure With The Most Important Message,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Tombs of Anak (The Cooper Kids Adventure Series #3) (Paperback)
The Tombs of Anak is, in my opinion, one of the best books in the entire Cooper Kids series. What makes it even more enjoyable for is that my last name is Cooper, too, and I can pretend I'm actually one of the characters in the book. Anyway, the Cooper Kids series is absolutely fantastic. Each book is filled with adventures you couldn't dream of, action, suspense, and, most of all, a sense of God presence and power in and over life and the universe itself. Each story brings out spiritual messages and is great for any audience. Personally, I agree fiction and even children and teen fiction from a Christian perspective is edifying for anyone seeking God's truth or for any child of God, young or old.In this particular adventure, a Biblical archaeologist family without a mother visits the Holy Land, Israel. In the blink of an eye, one of their hired hands vanishes. Eerie noises, ancient legends, uncanny episodes, and daring escapes in the wild deserts of Israel combine to create a heart-pounding tale you won't be able to put down. The Coopers, through numerous spooky incidents (all from a Christian perspective), soon realize they face a heinous, utterly evil--and seemingly unconquerable--force which, if nothing happens, will soon destroy them and the hundreds of victims it holds in its crushing grip. This is an adventure you won't regret. Frank Peretti is an innovative writer who thinks up the most incredible stories. He truly is a God-gifted storyteller, and this book shows him in his golden age. If you love adventure, period, and are willing to be refreshed by lessons of life from a Christian viewpoint--READ THIS!!!

This book is incredible and definitely one of my favorites. Frank Peretti hit gold with this book. It's very exciting and many times it sent chilles up my spine. I would definitely consider it a sit on the edge of your seat, page turner. And it's great how it's all exciting. There's no dry spells of boardom. Excitement from one cover to the other. I've read many books in this series and this is my favorite.

As a long-time PERETTI fan, I found this book at adiscount place. GREAT!! I always like to read his books. I found the religion in this book---not very subtle. A tad---beat you over the head. I REALLY would have loved this book if he had toned it down a little.

This is a book that is well written and has good family values. I read to my three kids (10, 9 & 7) at night. It is suspenseful enough to keep their attention, but doesn't give my daughter bad dreams. Great for the family on those winter days!
