"Whistle me up a memory, whistle me back to where I wanna be,
whistle a tune that will carry me,
to Tonbstone Territory.
If your past has run afoul of the law, its a lonely place to be,
cause your futures just as good as your draw,
in Tombstone Territory". repeat

"This is an actual account from the pages of my newspaper the "Tombstone Epitaph"
This is the way it happened in the town Too Tough To Die,
Tombstone Territory".

There are no extras on these 16 episodes on 2 DVD 30 minutes each, the series went from 1957 to 1960, starring Pat Conway as Sherriff Clay Hollister, I am pleased to add them to my large
collection from the period.A couple of episodes show jagged wearing to the right corner, however
I am still happy to see a young Warren Oates doing his interesting form of acting.
From David in Australia whistling with my memories.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this collection available on Amazon and for such a low price too. While I cannot say the the quality is stellar, I can honestly say it is more than watchable and I enjoyed every minute of re-living this classic western on DVD. These episodes are hard to find on disc elsewhere, so for the money and the speed of shipment, I am very pleased with this collection.

it was a long time dream of getting hold of this very rare video of a television series that i have been waiting for. the last time i viewed this western was when i was in elementary school circa 1960's ( wow, that old huh )so all through the years i have dreaming of seeing it once again and i did in the year 2010 mind you. i read one reviewer here in amazon who said that the quality of the picture was outstanding so i immediately bought one without thinking. but lo and behold when i watched it, that reviewer told a big lie. the picture was terrible. the seller should have made a disclosure in his description of the quality of the image. i would not have complained if they have just told the truth. do not get me wrong but the story line of the 13 episodes on 2 dvd discs is quite good and the pacing is not boring because it is full of action. i think that this video was taken from old vhs tapes and transferred to dvd , it must have been transferred several times from different tapes of different generations/sources thus explains the quality of the image. if you cannot wait to get the original then you decide if you still want to view these shows now and bear the quality of the picture. the ball is now in your hands.

16 Episodes for less than 13 bucks. How can you go wrong? This 2 disc set brought back sweet memories of my youth. Quality of video varies, but considering the show is about 50 years old,its a lot better than expected..Especially love the theme song..

I grew up watching shows like "Highway Patrol", "Tombstone Territory", and many others. I always remembered the theme from "Tombstone Territory". With Season 1 Vol. 1 in my collection, I have another piece of television history. I feel young again.

Another marvellous early TV western starring Pat Conway as the hard driving no nonsense stalwart sheriff of Tombstone, reputedly the town too tough to died. A very worthy addition for the genuine western fan. It has a catchy tune beginning with " Whistle me up a memory, whistle me up where I want to be, whistle me up a tune of Tombstone Territory." Hopefully other great TV westerns like "Lawman" will also be available to the public soon.

Given the age (50-55 years) of the film print from which the DVD was created , the image quality on the DVDs is surprisingly good. The series is as I remember it as a schoolchild between 1957 and 1960, when it had a very strong following here in Australia compared with other Westerns of the time like Gunsmoke, Lawman, Cheyenne etc. Pat Conway's superb acting is also as I remember it - not surprising given his first-class pedigree as son of Jack Conway, famed Hollywood director of the 1930's, and grandson of Francis Bushman. Pat had acting experience at Drury Lane in London when his father was directing films in the UK. Alas Pat died before his time in 1981, aged only 50. Richard Eastham too is an excellent understudy to Conway as the editor of the Tombstone Epitaph. Given that the 2 discs contain only 16 episodes between them, and that there are 93 episodes all told in the entire series, enough for at least another 2 discs, it is to be hoped that the marketers will see fit to follow up their "Volume 1" with at least another 2-3 discs for "Volume 2" and maybe even "Volume 3". Well done, editors and producers, keep it up!

I loved this show in 1957. I hoped it would still hold up, and it does. The stories are engaging and the dialogue is crisp. Old favorites like Jack Elam, Lee Van Cleef and Leonard Nimoy make guest appearances. But the show belongs to Pat Conway whose understated delivery and expressive eyes seem much more modern than similar shows. There are a few minor problems: the music is intrusive and there are some imperfections in the print. But on balance this one's a winner!
