I caught more dead mice with the original wooden trap than I did with this one.

The poison block is kept safely away from children or pets and there is no worty about it scattering all over the place.

I love these bait stations because they keep the poison inside, and keep the mess to a minimum.

I have several of these stations in garages ,sheds, and crawl spaces. They are the most effective product I have tried. With D-con, a few mice gobble down all of the bait in a few days. Sure, it kills them, but now the tray is empty and the remaining mice continue to wreak havoc. With these Tomcat stations, the mice eat a small amount of the bait (enough to kill them) and it turns off their appetite so they stop eating and leave the rest of the bait for their friends. I like this single station pack since the bait blocks are so effective I find little need for the packages that make you buy 8 or 16 1-ounce baits to get the station. I suggest buying one 16 ounce kit for the cheapest way to get extra bait, and as many of these 1 ounce packs to get the number of stations you need. My only complaint is how difficult it is to find the stations without a 10 year supply of bait blocks.

We are sorry that you did not achieve the results that you were expecting. This station is designed for controlling mice. If you are dealing with a rat problem the opening for this station may not be large enough for the animal to enter. You may want to see if one of our rat control products will fit your needs. If you have any other comments questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact us at www.tomcatbrand.com.

Works great, been using these for 2 years now. I annually open and put new poison blocks in them, more often if they have been half eaten. Place under your vehicle not in your vehicle. Under your house not in youth house. They are safe outside from pets and larger animals getting into them. I have had one carried off by something. Our seldom used vehicles have always had mice get into them especially over winter, but have not had mice for two years. Also place under outdoor shed, tool bin, etc. We have a crawl space not a basement so we just toss a handful into the enclosed crawl space every fall. Used to have mice trying to and occasionally getting onto the house, NO MORE. This stuff works.

This refillable Tomcat bait trap with four bait blocks. Each block will kill up to 12 mice. It’s not a trap that mice will be trapped in, but rather one that they will go into to eat the bait and leave. It’s rather hard to see how much they’ve eaten at this point in time, but when the block is gone, the trap can be disposed of. The bait is enclosed in the trap, but the top is clear plastic and it will be easy to see when it needs to be discarded. Apparently with ingestion of a very small amount the mice will die within a couple of days, but not in the trap itself.

We do have pets and obviously we don’t want anything around the house that can inadvertently harm them. These are “Kid & Dog Resistant,” but if you have your doubts, take a pass and continue using the old Victor traps if need be. I’ve even used the electronic method with some success. I’m not going to be using any of the Tomcat Mouse Killer traps in any accessible place in the house, but rather in my small barn.

Field mice usually are more problematic in the fall when they are heading to shelter, but manage to be busy throughout the year. I’m using the Tomcats outside. I do like the concept and like it much better than the d-Con I’ve tried in the past. They came in a box and just seemed to attract more mice than they eliminated. I also was concerned about how the poison seemed to be spread all over the place. Not enamored with that method.

I’ve been using the Tomcat system for a couple of months now and it’s appears to be working. The mice are definitely going after the blocks instead of things I have stored. I will not be using it in any place where animals or children will have easy access to it at all. My comfort level isn’t high when I take any chances, which in the case of bromethain I’m not planning on it. Better system than the open-boxed d-Con I’ve used in the past and it’s certainly working for me.

I've poisoned a fair amount of rodents in my time. I have used dCon, and Tomcat, among others. The Tomcat blocks for rats that are warfarin based are super effective. These have nothing to do with those deadly cubes other than the brand. The MK3 system has a plastic, kid-proof (and arthritic adult proof) enclosure that forces the mouse to go through a short maze to get to the bait. The bait has a poison that is supposed to be faster acting than warfarin – it's supposed to kill the mouse right then and there, i guess.

Well, it was easy to set up per the instructions. I put on my nitrile gloves to keep whatever the poison is called off my hands. Inserted the block of poison bait into the chamber per instructions and set it up where the mouse and the voles live. Apparently, they nibbled some and took off. No dead mice. Overalll, disappointing.

Now, perhaps the mice are dead in their burrows, but I kind of doubt it. This is one of those devices that has been designed to be "safer" to humans than the old school types that were optimized to kill rodents and relied on us to be careful when using them. This has made the device, apparently, safer for mice, too.

In any case, I would just not bother with these vs. some warfarin based poison. I also think properly baited mouse or rat traps are a better choice.

We've used several different mouse traps and mouse killer products, and in my opinion this Tomcat bait station is the most effective way of getting rid of mice. It's compact, easy to use, and most importantly very safe for pets and children. This is one mouse poison trap that I don't mind leaving out in the open. I've used it many times over the years, and each time it has effectively gotten rid of all the mice in our house. The beit station is primarily meant to be used in the house, but I've used it in the storage shed with great effect as well. Highly recommended.
