I had the privilage of hearing many of these tracks from Tomegan Gospem while living in Alaska and going to some local shows put on by Paul Pike and some Medicine Dream members. I'm going to order the CD right now and listen to the rest of them....Their first Canyon Records CD - Mawio'mi - Rocks as well...kj

"Tomegan Gospem" is a powerful & moving album. Every song is spiritual & intense. This album may be played loud or soft,
alone or at a party, in the vehicle or home. Songs of Truth,
Pain, & Triumph...Every song is great! One really really
feels each & every song. "Mawio'mi" (their previous album) is a brilliant five star record as well.

When I heard a couple of songs from Tomegan Gospem on Aboriginal Voices Radio here in Toronto, I knew I had to get the cd. After listening to it I'm going to have to get a copy of Mawio'mi. Paul Pike and Medicine Dream have done an outstanding job on this one. As a Ktaqmkuk Mi'kmaw it is wonderful to find music such as this which speaks to me not only generally as a native person but also more personally as a member of the Mi'kmaq Nation. This album is a must-hear for both for Natives and for those wanting to learn about the way Natives see this world of ours.
