Product Description

The Tommaso Imola carbon takes all the features and technology of the standard Tommaso Imola and adds a carbon bladed fork. This will provide a little more comfort as the carbon absorbs more of the high frequency road buzz from the pavement. The sleek black aluminum frame with matching painted black carbon fork is energized by racey graphics for an amazing package that can't be beat. It is our belief that everyone needs to ride a bike. There is a magic moment that takes place once you start pedaling. No matter what kind of day you are having a smile will immediately appear when the pedals start to turn. Riding a bike is pure, fun and beneficial to the rider’s health. That is why the staff at Giantnerd believes everyone needs to own a bike. Tommaso worked very hard with its factories and designers to get the best bike at the best price for its customers. The Tommaso Imola is the bicycle for anyone that wants to get started on the cycling journey. The proprietary 6061 Tommaso compact aluminum frame will provide thousands of miles of dependability and enjoyment. The triple chainring up front and a 12x24 8-speed cassette give the rider 24 speeds to choose from. The road triple has been a welcome component for those wanting to get up every hill easily, explore the flats and cruise down the speedy descents. Add that to the hand-friendly, light, aluminum ergo handlebars, Tommaso Racing saddle and Kenda tires and you have a winner! The Tommaso Frame Underneath the slick black paint of the Imola is a corrosion-free proprietary Tommaso 6061 SLA aluminum compact frame that comes from the same design concepts found on the top of the line Tommaso bikes. Tommaso uses a compact geometry and detailed tubing lengths per frame size. This ensures that the rider gets the lightest, strongest, best performing and best fitting frame for the dollar. The compact design and geometry place the rider in the optimum position for steady handling and comfort.

Let me start by saying that this is the first Road Bike I have bought; however, I did weeks of research on buying one prior to finally pulling the trigger on the Tomasso. I following factors were the most important to me when buying this bike, so keep this in mind when reading the rest of the review: price, durability, parts, and style.

Price - At $500 you really can't beat it. I wanted an entry level bike that would hold up for a while, perform decently, and which was really for me to decide whether cycling was a sport I wanted to get into.

Durability - It's fairly lightweight, but you'd be paying thousands more to shave off an extra few pounds... But then again if weight was so important to you, you shouldn't be looking at any bike in this price range anyways. As far as construction goes, it met industry standards which was good enough for me. It also has a carbon fork which does a lot to help with road vibrations (must have for any road bike IMO), not to mention to make it a bit lighter.

Parts - it has lower end Shimano parts, which aren't great but aren't bad either. It's definitely worth the money. I've had no problems with any of the parts thus far and I'm about 400 mile in. If you want to upgrade parts there is always tht possibility later too. The seat is also fairly comfortable. The only thing I wasn't very impressed with was the breaks. You may want to upgrade to better breaks depending on how and where you cycle.

Style - I think this bike looks great! Sleek but not too flashy, it's got great, subtle design, color, and graphics. I really like the contrasting look of the white tape on the drop down bars, but it gets very dirty after a while so I'm considering switching to black soon.

You can't beat the price for this entry level bike. The components are not the best but they are Ok for this entry level bike.

When i received this bike, the package was damaged along with my bike. The rims i received were bent which rendered the bike useless!
