I'm an experienced bib user, having been through three messy kids. I have used both the Baby Bjorn and these and they are both suited for different stages.

Our Baby Bjorn is very easy to remove, so I did not like using it under about 2.5 years old. It is firmer and less floppy than the Tommee Tippee and I do like that about it. Once my children reached the age of understanding that if they remove the bib, their food is taken away, then the Bjorn was appropriate.

However, the Tommee Tippee is harder to remove, so for the kid that is wanting to take the bib off, the TT works better. I often read people complain that this bib is not tight enough around the neck and gives room for food to dribble down. I agree with this, I have petite children and everything runs big on them. However, it is easily resolved by taking a standard hole punch and punching your own hole wherever you want it and this makes it tighter. The other advantage is that this makes a slightly smaller hole than what the bib comes with, and makes it even more difficult for the child to remove.

I used our first set of bibs for over three years before they got moldy. One I had left accidentally in our travel booster dining seat for several weeks and I could not remove the mold from it. The other one finally starting cracking along the bottom. They were well worth the money and we got our use out of them.

Just don't. Cloth bibs are a waste of space, money, and effort. I got these bibs yesterday (somewhere else for more than half the price) and am already a believer. I just rinse these off with a soapy sponge and hang to dry. You won't need more than two of these.

I put this on my daughter in the car yesterday, filled the little pocket with some crackers, and she fed herself a snack and didn't make a huge mess. They're great! Get them. You won't be sorry.

But you will be sorry if you buy a 10 pack of cloth bibs and have to wash them all the time. Trust me.

These bibs are just astounding. They're the easiest of all the bibs I've had to clean and seems like a better version of the Babybjorn bib. Any mess with these can be washed off under the tap with very little scrubbing needed. Thy're also harder for the kid to take off than their Babybjorn counterpart because of the better neck closure. This bib is also more travel friendly in the fact that its shape is quite malleable, even enough to roll up and take up as much space as a couple of pencils. These bibs are an insanely good value costing around three bucks per bib and they last forever! A trick I've learned with these is if you flip the trough inside out it sticks out a little more to catch more of your kids near-misses. Basically buy these, you'll be glad you did.

Bought these at Target cheaper than on Amazon, but they are very stiff around the neck, and tend to ride up, so either they are too tight and uncomfortable, or food slips underneath and onto clothes.

They might be better for older babies who are more experienced feeders, but for my little one who is just starting off, they are a mess.

I have since replaced them with the Oxo bib because it has wipe-clean material and a velcro fastening around the neck, and so its not only more comfortable but also cleaner. I use it with the Bumkins sleeved waterproof bib with elasticated sleeves underneath - B00D3TPGB8

They save A LOT of food from getting wasted, plus they're dishwasher safe. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of a bib.

UPDATE;
When compared side by side to Baby Bjorn bib (same design) the baby bjorn performs much better. It holds more food- which in turn prevents food slipping where it shouldn't, and stained clothes! When I used this particular brand my babys clothes got all sorts of stains from food that didn't get caught in the food trap.

I want to love these. I really do. I like that I can wash them and hang them to dry, and they're ready for the next meal. I like that they have nice, deep pockets to catch food mess. I like that they're not easy for my little guy to remove. However, they're just a shade too small my for giant two-year-old. It's not the bib's fault, my son is big for his age, but the bib is just a tad too short to give good lap coverage for my exuberant self-feeder. We have to put a cloth napkin in his lap to protect his clothes, underneath the bib. Also--and I honestly don't care, but I know some other folks do--the bib was stained by the first meal of carrots and sweet potatoes. So, I don't know. Tommee Tippee, if you make a bigger size bib, I will buy it in a second.

We have an 18 pound, 8 month old and have found these bibs to be terrible and ineffective.

The bib regularly comes unattached and since he is in a high chair it is hard to reconnect. (Connects behind his head)

The bib, when connected, leaves an uncovered area directly below his chin. What's the point of having a bib cover only a portion of the front of the baby. The result is I still have to change him since his clothes are dirty.

The bucket portion is marginally effective. Occasionally the middle of the bucket bows in reducing its ability to catch stuff and keep it off his lap / the floor.

Overall we are not happy with this purchase. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
