Almost as Good,

Tommy Conwell just continues to ROCK! But, I sure do miss the Rumblers music. Where can it be found? I saw Tommy and the Young Rumblers many times in the Baltimore area over the years. Sure wish I never lost those old cassettes. But, this cd can still satisfy the Tommy itch. love it

Tommy Conwell is one of the best guitarist alive. This bluesy-rock album is a bit more bluesy than the rock n roll of the Rumblers, but Tommy still jams hard as a rock.

Let's be clear- There is no message to figure out with the Little Kings....Just a great swingin' blues style. Great saxaphone, guitars, and the presonality of Philly's finest CLOWN- Tommy Conwell.

This is one fun, cool, rocking album and if anyone deserves a little fun, it's me. I've known Tommy since I was a child and that was a dickens ago. Without any bias, which would tarnish my good name this album is a winner. Just slap the disc in and run around your house. Keep having fun.

WHAT WAS IS NO MORE,

I have been of fan of Tommy Conwell since 1986 when the Young Rumblers were together. Now that was a tight band. That band use to breathe together. What was great about Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers was the fusion of rock and blues. How and why Tommy has fallen from grace with a CBS record contract to now performing straight blues with a no name label is beyond my comprehension. This CD doesn't rate with his other CD's because it lacks the melody and soulful songwriting that made those songs so listenable. I guess if your drunk off your @$$ this CD kicks, but I'm not drunk that often. I'm still a fan hoping for that magic that once was.

I knew Tommy in school years ago...he kicked some serious butt. He played the Rocky Horrow 10th anniversary at the State Theater in Newark DE and dragged those young girls, kicking and screaming into puberty. What in hell happened to him? I saw him live a year or so ago and his performance was great...Tommy, if you're listening, you are the best excuse for a live album I've ever seen...take it to heart buddy! |
