This movie is such a great movie for anyone of any age. I strongly recmmend it. The cover is a little misleading because it makes you think it is an old movie .

Recommend this movie for any age, especially children. All four of my grandchildren love it. Wonderful service, again, Amazon!

Tommy and the Cool Mule is a really great family movie about a boy and his special bond with his mule (who happens to be able to talk to Tommy, when no one else is around). Some funny moments all around. Kevin Sorbo's character is a hoot!
The movie teaches kids about doing the right thing in the face of adversity.
No foul language or inappropriate scenes.
Our family gave it Two Thumbs Up!

Outstanding! Fun movie, great for the age 6 through 15 coed group. A happy, predictable ending but well worth the money. This movie would do great on the movie theater circuit.
The young actors do a good job. The lead, young Grant Barker is wholesome and likeable. Bet we see more of him in the future.
Buy this movie to have on hand for a slumber party movie or family night. It'll be enjoyed over and over, for years to come.

It is really refreshing to see a family movie like this one come along-there are so few of them out there these days! This tells the story of a young boy,Tommy,who must become a man after his dad goes off to war and never returns. He and his family face the prospect of losing their farm,thanks to a greedy land developer named Dodge Davis(played superbly by Kevin Sorbo). Then along comes Jackie A,a feisty mule with an attitude-and oh,he can talk. After being bullied by the other boys in his neighborhood,Tommy decides to enter Jackie A in the local stock show competition in hopes of winning enough money to save the farm. This is one of those feel good movies that the whole family will enjoy despite the PG rating.
