The TK Waist band, designed by former World Champion and Gold Medalist Tommy Kono, was made primarily to wear while performing waist exercises like Olympic lifts or aerobic exercises like running and jumping.
The special elastic material helps retain body heat and supports pains in the lower back. The quality material is stretchable and because of the thickness, its use will give you excellent support and warmth to the area it covers. In addition to providing warmth and stability, the TK Waist Band may help to metabolize belly fat by generating heat and improving blood circulation. (Note: the band will not single-handedly reduce body fat without diet and exercise. Do not let yourself be convinced otherwise.)

Superb quality, much better and thicker than anything I've seen in stores. The support it gives you is excellent, and I can tell since using it this is going to last quite awhile, most likely much longer than the products I purchases from other companies. It's more expensive than other waistbands, but you get what you pay for.

A great product. I use it when I'm running and powerlifting. My only complaint is that the velcro on it wears away after a while (I've had mine for ~3 months). I am going to attempt to restore it, but I suspect the "stickability" will still be sub-par. So, buy it, but keep in mind it may not last forever!

I have nothing but good things to say about this belt. It's easy to put on, easy to get extra tight for good compression, and it keeps my abs and lower back nice and warm during heavy sets with long rest periods and light sits with short rest periods. Price is pretty good too. Goes nice with the other tono kono items (elbow / knee bands )

velcro could be a problem
I've had a similiar heat retention belt by Bob Hoffman from 1969. Eventually the glue on the seam separated or the thick neoprene tore. Read more

I loved the TK waistband when i first got it, but after about 4 months the velcro started pulling away and it wouldnt stick anymore. Read more
