Relates well to an outdoor lifestyle!,

This review is from: Tomorrow on Rocky Pond (Hardcover)
My not quite 3 year old loves this book! For any family that spends time hiking and camping this is truely a delightful story. Captures well all the little things kids love and remember about such trips. Lots of great details both in words and pictures -- a list of all the hiking & fishing gear, the names of birds and rabbits and ducks and trees etc. Yet not tedious, nice flowing rythm. Seems to include all that is familiar with our families Alaskan and NW outdoor experiences (accept bears!). Also a good introduction to the concept of "tomorrow" for the younger set. My daughter especially loves the part when the rock stands up "whoosh" and is really a moose!
