I remember what a impact it had on me and we are hoping that it will be a great impact to all the ladies at the dinner espically the unsaved ones. Can anyone please help us? I LOVE THE COMPLETE CD WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON THE SONG TITLED "TOMORROW". IT IS NOT NEW HOWEVER THE WORDS ARE FOR THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE. I SAY "RIGHT ON" TO ANY AND EVERYTHING THAT THE WINANS SING.

A Gospel CD anyone will be able to relate to.,

This 1984 release is a Gospel set anyone can relate to because the music is truly uplifting and positive but the approach is contemporary. "Secret Place", "Tomorrow", "Everything You Touch Is A Song", "Golden Opportunity" and (especially) "Lord, I Believe" are all excellent examples of inspirational Gospel music for the Urban Contemporary market. This was by no means The Winans' most commercially successful album but the music will lift your spirit and nourish your heart and soul.

This album is the EPITOME of annointed Gospel music...The title track carries a point that I can personally vouch for:"Give Jesus a chance before your time RUNS OUT,because no man is promised to even HAVE a tommorrow!!The(rhetorical)question is asked on this song:"WHO promised you tommorrow?!?" "BETTER choose the Lord TODAY,because"tomorrow"very well might be TOO LATE!!This question is even better:"And who said tommorrow would ever come, for YOU?!?"My favorite line(so truthfully)declares:"Your"tommorrow"could very well begin TODAY!!" Believe me,this is the SOUNDEST advice you'll EVER hear, because in July 2003 I thought I had YEARS to make up my mind(at my leisure)and choose Jesus as the Lord of my life, only to(finally)emerge out of a COMATOSE state in a hospital(weeks later) to the news that I had suffered a MASSIVE stroke, been through MULTIPLE brain surgeries and had avoided death by the"skin of my teeth"!! That was a BOMBSHELL,because had I died without my(entire lifes' worth of)sins being FORGIVEN(By Jesus'bloodshed on the Cross)I'll give you three guesses as to what I WOULD'VE"woke up"to!!! Like the song discusses, all my life I kept saying:"tommorrow"when contemplating giving up my wicked ways and living FOR Jesus!! This entire album(especially the title track) is something EVERYONE ought to really listen(and take HEED)to!!!Don't make the same mistake I did!!"Just Don't Wanna Be Loved"touches on how Jesus has made the opportunity to experience an ETERNITY of JOY and bliss in Heaven a totally FREE gift(Since He's ALREADY paid the"price")for us all,so anyone who refuses to accept this INCREDIBLY GENEROUS offer apparently just doesn't WANT to be loved!! The ONLY thing Jesus requires from us to be able to reap the everlasting"rewards"of citizenship in Heaven is a simple"yes"from us!! So the songs title is an explanation/answer to why anyone would reject such a"gift"..These following lines are the epitome of sef-evidence:"If you turn-away My gift,to follow after a MYTH,If you'd RATHER be decieved, then I MUST believe":"You just DON'T wanna be loved!!" "If you turn-away the light just to walk in the NIGHT,I haven't heard a VERBAL"no"but your ACTIONS show:"You just don't wanna be loved!!" "You REFUSE to take my hand, then I'll UNDERSTAND:"You just DON'T wanna be LOVED!!" "So come and take My hand and I will lead you FAR away, your TOMORROWS' will be MUCH brighter than your yesterday!!" "I will set you FREE if you turn TO Me!!" "Why wont you just LET Jesus love you?!?" "Bring Back the Days of Yea and Nay"touches on simpler times when everything was either"right"or"wrong",up or down,in or out, black or white without all the shades of grey that we must try to examine carefully in these current times!! This following line sums it all up:"Bring back the days of yea and nay, when we could PLAINLY"see"the way, when it was up to US to choose whether to win OR lose!!" This line rings oh,so true:"I remember when life was so SIMPLE,Parents were a light, through THEM we learned what was RIGHT,but it aint like that ANYMORE!!" "I remember when life was so EASY,Boys turned into MEN,the girls to women(back)THEN,but it aint like THAT anymore!!" "Caught in the midst of complexity,we search for"Yea"and"Nay"!!" "We KNEW where we belonged, what was right and what was WRONG!!" "Lord I Believe"is an excellent song dealing with faith in the Lords' promises...Hardly anyone has TOTAL confidence/faith in God,though we try our best..This fact is conveyed nicely in the line:"Lord I(ALMOST)believe(completely)(so please)HELP my UN-belief!!" "Trust In God"is a very good song with a simple(yet CRUCIAL)message to cease worrying/fretting(needlessly)about situations because God is YET in(total)control of whatever problem that"unsettles"you, and NOTHING bad can possibly occur to you unless He ALLOWS it!! Point is:"God is undeniably in CONTROL,so just relax and TRUST Him!!The(fittingly)solemn tone of this song compounds the importance of this fact!!"Restoration"is a great song focusing on Gods' Longsuffering in dealing with those who had turned their backs on Him,but remained in His favor to the point that He readily accepted them back into His saving grace!! This following line is PROFOUND:"WHAT would I know about being restored if I HADN'T lost my place,WHAT would I know about His MERCY if I HADN'T gotten out of GRACE?!?"These pleas to God from a Backslider sound so genuine:"Restore me,restore to me the JOY!! I WANT to come BACK"home"yes!!" "Wont You BRING me back?!?" "I NEED to be RESTORED!!" I LOVE the"happy ending"to this saints"struggles":"I'm RESTORED,and I'm GLAD about it!!" This is an absolutely ASTOUNDING album where each song will"stoke the coals"of your innate desire to embrace ETERNAL life!! INFINITELY annointed album!! An absolute CLASSIC!!

If You Feel Like Reminiscing...:),

I grew up on this stuff!! I'm in my early 30s, so I am at an age when I can remember Contemporary Gospel almost at it's inception (modern contemporary) BUT am still young enough to have seen the changes in Gospel up to now (like when Kirk Franklin first came out, Gospel Rap, etc.) When I was little, my Mom had the house filled with the Winans, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, The Hawkins family, and my favorite group of all time, Commissioned, and many more. As I got a little older, I also got exposure and became a big fan of the Clark Sisters! I can remember singing aloud and harmonizing to all these artist's songs. We had "Introducing the Winans" recorded on TAPE, and "Tomorrow" on RECORD! :)
Now to the review...sorry :) I love contemporary Gospel like J. Moss, KiKi Sheard, Kirk, Mary Mary, Virtue, all those...but what is so cool about the Winans' music, especially the older recordings is that it makes you realize this was a time when the music was really unique. It was a time of experimentation in Gospel. Yes, the production sound is going to be old, because hey, it is over 20 years old...but the music was different. This recording is great. Every song has a profound message and memorable music. Stuff wasn't "cookie cutter" then, and the Winans, along with many others somehow knew how to make the music relevant AND modern WITHOUT compromising Christian standards. Buy this one, every song is good and will help you understand the history of Contemporary Gospel!

This was a very good album done by the Winans. I actually enjoyed all the songs. The songs that were the best to me were:
Secret Places-9/10 You Just Don't Wanna Be Loved-10/10 Uphold Me-10/10 Everything U Touch is a Song-10/10 the best song on the album Bring Back the Days-8/10 Trust in God-9/10 All I can say is that this album was good and the Winans are so talented. I definately recommend it to add to your collection.

Surprisingly strong for an 80s title,
By
This review is from: Tomorrow (Audio CD)
If you can get past the very electronic 80s instrumentation, cut for cut this is a strong album that probably deserved its spot on the CCM Greatest Christian Albums of All Time list. (#48 in case you're wondering). The title cut is the band's argument to procrastinating non-believers in Jesus. ("Who promised you tomorrow?/Better choose the Lord today/Because tomorrow very well might be too late..") "You Just Don't Wanna Be Loved" is a retort to those who refuse Christ's mercy. "Bring back the Days of Yea and Nay" pines after a more innocent America in which issues like sex change operations weren't even on the radar and Mom and Dad were clear guideposts to right and wrong. "Love is a Spirit" is probably the weakest tune here lyrically. This is a barebones CD presentation..no lyrics or liners, just the album art and track listing.
BOTTOM LINE: One I'll be adding to my collection. I'd suggest you do so too if you're a fan of modern gospel music.

Aloha all the way from Honolulu Hawaii. Just wanted to say that this is my faviorite song to sing. This song is talking about tommorrow. Is there a tommorrow for you? Good Question, we all should think about that. Cause tommorrow is never promised and today is the day of salvation. We have to get our lives striaght with God cause if not we may never know when or where we are going, if tommorrow never come for any of us. I need help, I am looking for the music only. Cause I want to sing it,well I have been singing it for the last 2 years for a Drama. That our church puts on called "Hell is real" and Somebody lost my soundtrack for this song. I really want it cause i love this song very much. I give this song 5 stars and still raising........ to the top.
