5.0 out of 5 stars Tastes Great - Works Amazingly!
I got off mint flavors and flouride when I started taking homeopathic remedies years ago and Tom's of Maine is a godsend. This strawberry toothpaste tastes really good and it actually whitens your teeth too! I also picked up some Tom's that tastes like licorice so I switch back and forth everyday with this and I've been happy with both products since the day I started...

2.0 out of 5 stars Natural? Maybe, but certainly not what you think.
Tom's products really seem misleading. They label them "Natural" which leads people to believe they are getting a healthier product - which isn't always the case.

Thats the case with most of Tom's products. This toothpaste for example only has the natural label because it doesn't contain artificial sweeteners and color.

Be advised, this...

Thats the case with most of Tom's products. This toothpaste for example only has the natural label because it doesn't contain artificial sweeteners and color.

Be advised, this toothpaste contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, a known irritant and carcinogen. Something that every single other natural toothpaste won't have in it. SLS causes canker/cold sores, and is readily absorbed in the mucus membranes of the mouth.

Find an alternative, this isn't really much better than normal cheap mass marketed toothpaste.

5.0 out of 5 stars My kids LOVE it!!!!!, July 20, 2008
I have been buying this toothpaste for the last year, and my kids absolutely love it.

It is sooo much better than the "bubblegum" and "bubblefruit" flavors that other kids toothpaste comes it.

No artificial sweeteners is also a plus!

The kids seem to like the Silly Strawberry the best, but my daughter enjoyed the Outragous Orange Mango.

My only problem is the metal tube. As kids usually do, my children squeeze the tube from the center and with a metal tube it is difficult to straighten out. Really need a toothpaste tube key, but I can't seem to find one. Maybe Tom's of Maine should sell those too.

5.0 out of 5 stars The brad I use !!, January 13, 2009

Since there are so many unhealthy chemicals in other toothpastes, I made the switch to this one. My kids love it. They enjoy brushing their teeth with it, they like the flavor, and I am happy that it is not harmful !!

2.0 out of 5 stars Packaging, March 21, 2009

Dmitri Ulinov (California, USA) - See all my reviews
In the Ulinov household, we only buy things that are all natural: homegrown berries, organic tofu, handpicked fungus, wax candles instead of Christmas tree lights, well water, black widow spiders and crocodiles. Heck, we even mine our own copper to make our own wiring (to deliver our solar-powered wind energy).

So, when I heard about Tom's all-natural toothpaste in silly strawberry, I was ecstatic. Granted, "silly" is a human-derived construct that is normally not found in nature, but I thought I could overlook that. The toothpaste itself is good. However, if you drop a splotch into your all-natural teak wood sink, it is very difficult to clean off. If it stays on for more than an hour, prepare to get a sandblaster. Also, the packaging is very problematic. It is like it is made out of titanium and is very hard to squeeze without a lot of pressure and that results in overuse of toothpaste. And once you start getting creases in the toothpaste tube, cracks develop and the paste starts oozing out the sides.

Why couldn't they sell this toothpaste in bulk bins at the health food stores like flax seed and arrugula? Why not create toothpaste tubes out of kelp?

I hope Tom from Maine reads this and improves the packaging. As they say in real estate -- packaging, packaging, packaging!
