This product (product ID# 5370D) is no longer made by Tom's of Maine. Last year (2007) Tom's changed the formula to use hops instead of lichen and dropped the corriander, which alters the scent dramatically.

The replacement (product ID# 5982) works, it just doesn't smell the same.

If you order this deodorant stick based on the picture displayed, you will receive the replacement product, which has daisy flowers on the label instead of what's shown.

In my quest to begin using more natural products I tried and have been using Tom's Unscented Deodorant for over 2 months. Leaves no stains on your clothes, controls odor & is made in the USA. Although it's listed as unscented, it does have a light scent that's quite nice. Tom's Deodorant is as good as other name brand versions & the price is about the same. For a natural deodorant, Made in the USA without dangerous chemicals, what more can you ask for?

It is very good as far as natural deodorants go. It is best of three other natural deodorants I tried. Still, will not power you through a super hot day.

It's nice, mild, natural, and works pretty well, doesn't smell much, I like it.

BEEN USING TOM'S FOR YEARS NOW WITHOUT ODIFEROUS COMPLICATIONS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THE UNSCENTED. THIS WORKS WELL FOR ME.

This deodorant is perfect even for super hot days in Phoenix. Zero scent and no aluminum. Works very consistently, even on my fat, sweaty self. I have been using this for over two years and it has not failed me. Good Amazon price with subscribe and save. $3.33 per stick versus $4 plus at any store in Phoenix.

This product does not keep you from sweating, but it does keep you from smelling AND you'll never have yellow sweat stains ruin another shirt! The aluminum in other brands that mixes with sweat to make that permanent yellow stain is what ruins shirts. I'm a big fan of Tom's!

I am a big fan of Tom's of Maine deodorant sticks, since they are so gentle. I had a lot of problems with more commercial deodorants causing irritation until I tried this brand. My wife doesn't like the other scents (although they don't bother me) so I usually go with the unscented version.

I really liked the natural, light, pleasant scent of this deodorant and it actually seemed to work pretty well. I didn't notice any unpleasant odors while using it. But within a few days, the skin under my arms started to peel very badly. I was quite alarmed, so I contacted Tom's and they sent me their Calendula stick to try. The Calendula stick (which doesn't contain lichen) didn't cause an allergic reation, but also didn't work as well as this stick.

I was happy to use Tom's Deodorant knowing it was aluminum free,however, after using it a few times I will no longer use it because it made my arm pits break out in huge rashes. Unfortunately it has taken a long time for my rashes to heal.I would not recommend this product because of my experience.
