Tomy Takara Croaking Crooner- Brown

I put batteries in him last spring and he's croaked away at visitors, in the most naturalistically possible way, all summer long on two AA batteries. Now it's August and he seems to be slowing down, but that's a long run. Hundreds of passerbyers have set him off and he was quite the charmer. He's about six by four by eight inches, at a guess. You have to set him on a stone or other solid surface so his underneath speakers can be heard. His throat moves in and out as he croaks. He'd be cute anywhere. UPDATE: Okay, I bought him in August 2008, and it's now April, 2009 and the plastic skin over his throat has cracked, but it in no way interferes with his performance. I still like him, eight months later, but you might want to bring him inside for winter, for preservation purposes...

My youngest daughter received this motion detecting frog for her birthday and just loves it. It looks real and it's throat expands when it croaks. It is perfect for her frog room and lets her know when someone is entering her room like her siblings. Fun!

This was purchased as a curiosity gift at christmas. It arrived well packaged inside a plastic shell style box and worked beautifully. I would not recommend this item as a toy but more as a unique gift for a adolescent or adult.

If your on the fence about this little froggy I would just tell you to wait no longer. This is so unusual ! It's very sturdy made. The frog noises it makes aren't loud and irritating. It's even soothing! These are impossible to find anywhere else. It's worth getting!! The only problem I see with it is that once your friends and family see it ..they are going to want one!! It's waterproof so it can go outside. But I want mine around for a long time. So I keep him indoors by my houseplants. His little throat sack inflates just like a real frog!!! Cute! Cute! Cute!!!!!!

This little frog is so cute. He looks so life-like. When there's motion near him his throat puffs up and he makes a croaking sound while in the background you hear birds chirping, water running (like a stream)and other frogs croaking. He needs to be on a hard surface to work. I just love him.

I purchased this item as a fun gift for friends to be placed near a window. It was nicely boxed and well made with attention to detail. This little figurine is lovely and the animatronics work as described, however, I would not deem this time as a toy for children.

WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FROG FOR THE AMOUNT OF COST. IT IS NOT VERY LOUD AND CAN HARDLY HEAR HIM "CROAK" I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR THE YARD AS YOU HAVE TO STAY BY HIM TO LISTEN TO THE CROAKING. DON'T PURCHASE UNLESS YOU WANT IT AS A TOY FOR YOUR CHILD IN THE HOUSE.

I wanted a croaking frog to place in the garden area. He's ok, but his croaking sounds nothing like a frog. Sounds pretty sick.
