5.0 out of 5 stars a classic updated
I had one as a kid, now my kid has one. The colors are a lot brighter, but otherwise it hasn't changed much. I love that it doesn't make any electronic noises, and that the minute hand is big enough for kids to manipulate. My daughter was having trouble with time ("Susie's karate practice starts at 3:20 and lasts for 45 minutes. What time will it be over?") and now...

3.0 out of 5 stars Educational, clock face is sorta cheap
I like this clock, have been working on it with my 5 year old, he likes it however the face of the clock is a cheap ...sorta cardboard type that I know if my 2 year old got a hold of it, the clock would be trashed.
If you have a child who is good with toys, it's great, if you have a destructable child, I would pass.

Also I love that you can drop it on the floor or spill water on it or zoom the minute hand around 300 times and its still fine.

Quality is good, but I agree with other reviewers about the face of it. It is card board and may wear, but seems like it could hold up pretty good for a toddler. Depends on the child I guess. I wouldn't consider it "indestructable" but not flimsy by any means. My son is 3 1/2 and I probably wouldn't have given it to him long before now. He loves it (as do I bc of "the original" made a long long time ago!)

Got this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves owls, but seemed a little young to be learning to tell time (she's four). I thought why not? never too early to start learning. It's great. She knows what time it is most of the time now. Even helped her 7 year old brothers who struggle with telling time. Every kindergarten classroom should have one! Seems pretty durable, too; it's been dropped a couple of times and hasn't broken, yet.

This clock is your basic teaching clock. I like it a lot because it is so simple. The cardboard on the face is not coated, and could be damaged easily if not taken care of, but other than that, it is very durable. If you push one foot, the clock moves forward a half hour, when you push the other, then the owl's eyes open, displaying the time shown on the eyes in analog style. It works well, and for the price, is a good bargain.

I purchased the clock for my 8 year old Autistic son. He is able to ingage with the toy and learn at the same time. I would recommend this product for any parent looking for a basic toy clock in which to teach their children to learn the concept of telling time.

I really like this plastic owl clock, and so does my son. He's 4 now, and he's had it for a couple years, without breaking any part of it. Admittedly, I got it a bit early for him, but he's enjoyed playing with it in different ways. It serves as "Big Bentley" from Cars 2, as far as he's concerned lately. Soon I hope to use it to actually teach him to tell time on an analog clock. It's nice how the digital time is hidden beneath the owl's eyes until you press one of his feet to reveal it. I recommend this product wholeheartedly. I can certainly imagine some potential improvements, so I'll give it 4 stars instead of 5, but I'm not currently aware of a better toy teaching clock for little kids.

This is the one and only clock toy I have seen that allows a child to practice time on their own. One foot moves the clock hands but with the other they can open the eyes after they guess the time and see if they are correct. This saves all the questions of "Mom, what time is it"? A great purchase.

This owl has stood the test of (toddler) time in our household. I like that he displays analog AND digital read-outs of the time, as our children will see both. We have had ours for over a year and even with some rough treatment, he's still working perfectly.
