finally available through amazon!,

I've had my eye on this group of performers for nearly fifteen years. Their combination of shakuhachi, koto, and guitar was pretty much unprecedented when they first started out twenty years ago. The inspiration for their music originates in the beautiful natural landscape and changing seasons of their home island of Hokkaido, Japan. They had been producing their own CDs, and those could only be purchased from their website or at their concerts. Now, FINALLY, their latest album is available on Amazon!
The music is sublime, of the style that seems to be called meditative or new age these days. But I was into shakuhachi and koto long before such music terminology was coined, so all I can say is that these two instruments are perfect for representing the sounds of nature. Wind blowing, water flowing, flowers blooming, snow falling. Combined with guitar and percussion, the sound is even richer. The performances (especially the shakuhachi, which is my favorite Japanese instrument) are spectacular. Needless to say, I highly recommend this CD.

In the very first notes you can feel the amazing atmosphere of this CD, which was totally worth buying. Simple and touching music, like it was emerging from nature. A true contact with our inner-selves.

This is a spectacular CD! This is peaceful, serene and haunting. I can compare these to my other favoroites such as Breathing Spaces, yet this is more traditional sounding. I heard it first on Soundscapes, came here and clicked on each selection, trust me, this is a G R E A T cd is you are into peaceful Asian themed music.
