The package arrived damaged, and FedEx made a note about it, but the product was undamaged. This is a great value for the money but there are (IMO) some downsides. First, this pad is THICK! a quarter inch thick to be exact. Too thick for my liking but for 14 bucks I will live with it. Secondly, this is felt backed and if your desktop is smooth (most are, eh?) then this will easily slide on the desk. It needs to have a grippy backing, not felt.

Other than that a very nice looking desk pad.

I received it in very good condition and almost "over the top" packaging. It's very nice for the cost and it was packaged well so they supplier must have seen the earlier reviews and corrected it.

I should have read the reviews. Received it damaged in a corner and the wood was broken. Otherwise it would have been a very nice pad. Packaging was no more than a tightly fit cardboard box, easily damaged by droping or placing heavy boxes on it. Box used has no foam padding or similar.

I have a very nice wood desk and my goal was to find a pad that would not only look nice but also not damage fine wood. This pad fits both requirements. However, the one negative is that it came "bowed" in the center so sits on the desk oddly. I am placing large books on it to see if it flattens. I don't think this was from the manufacturer, but probably a large item was placed on the center of the pad during shipping. I would recommend this item for those not wanting to spend a fortune but desire a very nice, quality item. I have never been disappointed in Rolodex products.

This is a great blotter for a very reasonable price. It came in a huge box and it was in perfect condition. If you have a average size laptop, it will serve as your mousepad as well.

I was very pleased with the quality of this item. Many more that I found available for purchase were "extremely" expensive. I got the look I wanted for a decent price and good quality.

Matches the other Rolodex Mahogany tone products well. Would have given 5 stars if the bottom of it had more grip on the desktop.

This pad runs about $25 and it is worth the money. It's heavy and sized appropriately for a desk service and it is much thicker than other pads that I have seen.

The first time this product came the corner had been bashed in and the pad was damaged. We sent it back and they quickly sent a new one but the box was half open when it came. Both times there was minimal protection around the pad. The second pad had a small amount of damage but not as noticable and we kept it. The pad is very good looking and well made.

Unlike other reviewers, I had no delivery, warping, slipping or writing problems. The desk pad looks lovely on an antique desk, as it probably would on any style desk. Brown desk pads are hard to find, which was what I was originally looking for. The wood pencil ledge adds an attractive elegance, fulfills my need for "brown," and you'll always know where the pen is. Some reviewers complained the pad slipped around. That has not happened with mine; the surface it sits on is paint over wood. Another reviewer complained of writing difficulty and slicing through paper because of the soft pad. Hard as I tried, I just couldn't cut through paper, although trying that experiment was leaving marks on the desk pad itself (not ink, just invisible lines where I was pressing too hard). This might be an issue if you are a heavy-handed writer. In today's world, I'm willing to bet most pads will be underneath a laptop/computer anyway. I am very happy with this inexpensive (but it doesn't look like it) product.
