Absolutely Indescribable! Deserves SIX Stars!,
By David J. Stoodley (Anchorage, AK USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Tongue: A Creative Force (Paperback)
Trying to descibe grasping the truth from this book and applying it in your life is like trying to describe what the Word of God can do. I have had this book in my library for over five years. I can't recall how many times I have read this work from cover to cover. Capps hits the nail on the head; the words you speak define your life! Forget using a highlighter to mark your favorite passages in this book; just dip the whole book in yellow ink.Bottom line is that you get what you speak, that's it, period! Confess what you want not what you have. Speak this daily for starters, "I am blessed, highly favored, empowered to prosper, prospering, walking in divine health, blessed to be a blessing and I can't lose with the faith that I use." To our unbeliever friends: the truth in this book applies to you, too! Believe it or not, regardless of your faith, religion, or lack thereof - you get what you speak. Be blessed!

MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW,
This review is from: The Tongue: A Creative Force (Paperback)
Remember your Mom telling you, "If you don't have something nice to say about someone, just don't say anything?" She was right! In this outstanding book by author Charles Capps, you learn the importance of what comes out of your mouth. Are you blaming circumstances, others or fate for If you are a Bible believer, than the words in Proverbs 18:21 should make you stand up and take notice. "Death an life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." In other words, your own words are planting in the ground your future. Scary isn't it? I don't suppose we like the ball to be put in our court when it has been so easy to blame everything else on our 'rotten luck', bad situations, and unfulfilled dreams. Highly recommended!

A great piece of TRUTH!,

This review is from: The Tongue: A Creative Force (Paperback)
Proverbs 6:2 "if you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth,"...CA, Capps' quote in the book "you have bound me by the words of your own mouth" is truthfully stated in Proverbs 6:2 above. God made the statement, He is not denying His own omnipotence. However, God does give man FREE WILL and we can limit God's power in our lives by what we say and do if we don't follow His Word! As for Mark 11:22 "Have faith in God" if you have a KJV Bible look in the footnotes, the original translation from the Greek was actually "have the faith of God" or the God-kind of faith!... I have this footnote in my King James Bible I was astonished when I saw it! I would have never noticed it if I hadn't read a book by Kenneth Hagin. In summary, the book by Charles Capps is EXCELLENT and Biblical! Jesus said we get what we believe and what we say so be careful of believing in the negative!

Very important truth...,
By
This review is from: The Tongue: A Creative Force (Paperback)
Charles Capps has touched upon a very important truth in this book and should be taken to heart by every Christian. Unfortunately, there are always those who do not believe that Jesus said what He meant in MK 11:23.It always amazes me how someone can look you in the eye and tell you flat out that Jesus did not mean what He said in MK 11:23. Another reviewer stated that Jesus was only showing the power of faith in prayer. I agree that Jesus was certainly using an object lesson when referring to speaking to a mountain but if MK 11:23 did not mean exactly what it states, then Jesus' whole argument for faith in prayer falls apart in MK 11:24! It is precisely because of the truth Jesus expounded upon in MK 11:23 that makes MK 11:24 work! But then again, the pharisees always resented what Jesus said and we still have modern-day "pharisees" who will call you on the carpet any time your brand of theology differs from their own--which many times is simpy wrong. As far as "name it and claim it" I will be the first to state that there have been abuses, but as long as what you "name" and "claim" is bounded by the scriptures, you can have it! Jesus promised that! But then again, maybe He didn't say what He meant like in MK 11:23...right? Also, Jesus Himself stated that we are not to pray to Him: "...in that day, ye shall ask me NOTHING." So the other reviewer who brings up this aspect of Capp's teaching is either ignorant of scripture or has a doctrinal ax to grind. Lastly, we do "create" with our words. And God can be bound--not because we are greater than He is but because He has bound Himself to His Word and only operates within the scope and parameters of His Word. This fact gives us the basis for faith for if we never know what God will do in a situation, we would never pray in faith and never get any answers to prayer. How in the world can you pray in faith (which is confidence) for something when you do not know whether or not God will give you what you asked for? YOU CAN'T! And where the promises of God are concerned, God has already given us His "Yes" and "A-men" to all of them. Don't be discouraged because of the modern-day pharisees: Ask and receive that your joy be made full. Besides, they can't keep you from receiving and your praying and receiving from God is not regulated by the misonformed. Excellent book and highly recommended!

This book lets people know the power there tongue has.,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Tongue: A Creative Force (Paperback)
This book shows that the tongue can be used to either create or destroy others and ourselves.Proverbs 18:21 says that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue."We have to choose every word carefully.Proverbs 10:19 says that "When words are many, sin is not absent, but a man who holds his tongue is wise".So keep these thongs in mind when you are reading this great book.

You can create better circumstances for yourself...,

Do you have a health problem? Get this book.
Do you have a family or relationship problem? Get this book. Do you have a financial problem? Get this book. In Genesis chapter 1, the tool that God use to create that which He wanted was "words". Guess what, words are exactly the same tool that you have to create that which you want in your life. Problem is, most people are using words to bring that which they don't want. This book does an excellent job of getting you straitened out and creating that which you do want.

Law of Attraction Meets Christianity,
This review is from: The Tongue: A Creative Force (Paperback)
This was an extra copy that I purchased. I was given this book about 6 years ago- never read it- just found it one day when cleaning my drawers and wow! Awesome life changing book- but you have to have ears to hear! I did not have ears to hear years ago even though I thought I did.
I have been gleaning a new understanding about what the Bible is about and have had an amazing transformation- I was previously deceived (because of my not having the ears to hear) into believing in only a God outside- But "Don't you know that you are the temple of God". We are all brothers to Christ- we are like him and capable of doing "even greater things" we are man and God- Just like Christ- Christ is the light the way and the truth- I have come that you may have life and live it more abundantly- He is the light and truth- to show us who we are- we are made in His image- Just as the disciples were able to heal just like Christ and Peter was able to walk on the water until he doubted- "As a man thinketh so he is" is so plain and simple- God spoke and brought this world in existence- Words are powerful- and words need thoughts to be formed- We are using our words and thoughts to create everything in our lives- unfortunately we just accept pain and suffering as par for the course- a cross to be born- if only we would wake up out of our sleep/delusion and experience the life that Christ came to give us! We need to watch what we are thinking and saying- our very words are creating our lives- that is why Christ says in Philipians "things that are lovely...of good report ...think on these things..." And all the fruits of the spirit- all great things to be like. The reason Christ told us these things is so that we could live life here more abundantly- When we think and speak the beautiful things of the fruits of the spirit we are sowing good seed and we will reap the same- peace, tranquility, joy, prosperity....all our birthrights! We were given free will so we have to do it ourselves-and we will once the spirit within us awakens- now is the time! Christ said that if "You had the faith of a mustard seed you could tell this mountain to fall into the sea and it would obey you!" I had heard this so many times in my life and read it again and again and never had ears to hear! We have the power to do all the things Christ did if only we knew it- If we knew who we were we would believe and then be able to move any mountain. Just as Christ was there in the beginning - so were we. Hard to comprehend- but it is true- In the bible we are referred "as gods". We have the spirit of God within us just like Christ-We were made in his image. He breathed the breath of life into man" we are no different than he is except that Christ knows who he is and we still see in a "mirror darkly". We see our outward reflection in the mirror but that is a dark or not clear depiction of ourselves- We are entering an Age when Christ will reign on Earth for 1000 years- This means that the truth and the light of which Christ represents will be reigning on earth- everyone is talking about the end of the world- coming today or on 12/21/2012- but they are only partly correct- it is the end of the world as we know it- we are at the end times of the "lack of knowledge" that the Bible depicts as the reason that "people perish". We are entering an age when more and more people "will see in the mirror face to face" I had always believed that this meant after death when I was in heaven- but it is not referring to after this life- it was referring to the here and now- I was under a strong delusion that I believed a lie- If I had read this review before I was given ears to hear I would have believed that the author of this review was the one who was under a strong delusion!!! My eyes have been opened and are being opened each day with more and more insight- "line by line and precept by precept" It is truly amazing. I was once told that when the student is ready the teacher will appear- I felt truly inspired to write this review- I apologize if it isn't grammatically correct or if I misquoted a word here and there- I know that the people ready to hear will not mind. I felt led to spread the good news into all the world about what Christ really represents- If you are ready you will hear- Enjoy your journey!!!

A friend of mind suggested that I read this book. Well I was skeptical at first, but I put in my bag and took it with me to a doctor's appointmentthat I had that day. While I was waiting on the doctor, I whipped out the book and started reading it...wow what sense it made. Never before had I imagined the tongue as such a creative force. I think this book is a must have in every home library and church library as well. Don't just take my word for it, read and tell me how amazing it is.
