Book Description

"Rubber baby buggy bumpers" - Say this three times as fast as you can. How about, try saying " Loopy lizards lying lazily aloft a little lane of logs," without messing up. This Tongue Twister book is huge collection of funny phrases, ridiculous rhymes, and silly sentences that will have kids laughing for hours. Each one challenges your mouth muscles as you try to say these tongue twisters faster and multiple times.

A tongue twister is a phrase that is supposed to be difficult to articulate properly. Often times they take practice to say correctly. Tongue twisters are good practice for children as they learn to form words, phrases, and vowels. It's hard to say a tongue twister without a smile on your face. Each tongue twister in this book has it's own silly illustration. Kids will be entertained with these tongue twisters for hours.

About the Author

Riley Weber is an author and artist who would rather write books than eat candy. He holds an Associates Degree in Fine Art and a Bachelors in Business, but his true passion lies in writing and illustrating picture books. On the weekends, you will find Riley composing music on Pro Tools, singing the wrong words to popular songs, strumming the guitar, pounding on the piano, or building Legos with his two young boys. He and his wife recently welcomed a daughter into the family, who is a little princess. Now, a lot of Riley's free time is spent holding his daughter and trying to calm her when she cries, which is truly one of the best joys in life. Riley loves to draw caricatures of friends, paint abstract art on canvas with acrylics, and doodle on a notebook during church on Sunday's. To learn more about Riley visit RileyWeberArt.com

4.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious and a Lot of Fun December 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
While this is titled as a book for kids, I am certain most adults will find this fairly humorous, also. Trying to say some of these silly phrases is almost impossible, but you will get a kick and a big round of laughter watching someone trying some of these (and the resulting sounds that come out as you foul them up) as well as your own attempts. I think the hardest one I've tried so far is "fresh fried fish, fish fresh fried, fried fish fresh, fish fried fresh."

I originally picked this up for free during a Kindle promotion vs. its normal price of $1.99: you and your family will certainly get more than $1.99 of entertainment and laughter value out of this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars He sells a tongue twisters ebook in the Kindle store! October 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This Kindle ebook provides an excellent selection of tongue twisters, together with fun pictures illustrating them.

In our modern, technological world full of computers and smart phones sometimes it's a relief to take a break from typing or texting to fall back on an old and simple idea like tongue twisters. These are just strings of words that don't easily go together soundwise that you have to try to say as fast as you can. The results can be hilarious.

Getting a group of kids together to try to say tongue twisters can provide them with great amusement. A competitive element can be introduced to enhance the enjoyment, and sometimes a young person who is no good at sports or school work will discover a hidden talent for tongue twisters that raises his or her self-esteem.

They also have more serious uses. For those whose native language is not English, they can provide excellent practice in pronouncing consonant and vowel sounds. Children with speech difficulties can also use them for practice when alone, and they may play a part in training young singers so that lyrics are heard more clearly.

And it's not just kids who love tongue twisters. They also make excellent ice-breakers for work gatherings or seminars, and are more sedate than most drinking games for parties.

So the next time the power goes, or you find yourself stuck in a room with a bunch of kids or adults you have to keep entertained, why not get them all to have a go at saying some tongue twisters?

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny, But.....Hmmmm December 26, 2012
By Lisa
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Good tongue twisters for kids,my daughter laughed really hard. At the end of the bood there are a lot of links to other books. I don't like that it so easily accessible for my seven year old to click on a link and accidently purchase something, I will have to be with her when she reads this one.
