I've been using these scissors for several years, and am always amazed that they can slice through chipboard, cardboard, and plastic (i.e. cutting the backs of buttons off for scrapbook layouts), and then cut ribbon without leaving any fray. The best thing about them, though, is the serrated edge. This makes "fussy cutting" paper and stamped images SO. So. easy. It allows you to pause in the middle of cutting, turn your paper, and then resume without leaving a mark. Whenever friends of mine comment on how neat my cards and layouts turn out, I admit that it's the tools that count. Then I buy them these scissors!

Great scissors, you can use it to cut almost anything. I even use it to cut through Graffix medium weight chipboard for embellishments and it cuts through the chipboard like butter. I like it also because it has the teflon coating, so when you cut your double sided tape the blades does not gets sticky.

These scissors are perfect for a multitude of tasks, but I purchased them for my mother to use with her plastic canvas hobby. She absolutely loves them and says they're perfect for her considering she has arthritis!

I would suggest getting these even if you already have a pair of nice scissors because these will almost undoubtedly surpass your expectations and the quality of your current scissors!

I am an advid crafter and use these quite a bit. I mainly do paper crafts so I leave trimming paper to my paper cutter and use these for cutting off button shanks so they lay flat or cutting embellishments or making fine cuts and such. I keep these in easy reach because they work so well and I use them often. I did use these to trim down my plastic Cropper Hopper paper holders so they could fit in a cubby unit and these scissors cut through the plastic like it was paper. I was so amazed I got my husband to see while I cut them and he was impressed. I do find him using these to open clam shell packaging and random things he is working with. I'm a righty and he is a lefty but these work well for both of us. These red coating is comfortable and feels nice on my hand even when I am cutting thick, hard things. I highly recommend these.

I use these Scissors for cutting chipboard, acetate, thin metal, paper, etc. They have worked great for me over the last year and if I ever need to replace them I will purchase them from Michaels with their 50% off coupon.

I make a lot of different crafts, but lately I've been creating greeting cards for my friends and family. If asked to make a list of my top ten craft tool must-haves these scissors would be at the top. They cut like butter, don't stick to adhesives and feel great in my hand. It's rare I like an item so much as to recommend it, but these scissors are an exception. Buy a pair for yourself or surprise a crafter, they're the best I've ever tried.

These were originally purchased for my craft projects but the scissors are wonderful and we have a dedicated pair just for the house. They cut through tin, paper and fabric. They are comfortable to use (padded handles) and highly recommended!

I've been using these scissors on nearly a daily basis for five months. I loved them when I first got them but now it's clear to me that I've wasted my money. Starting in a fully opened position and slowly closing them as I turn the piece of paper I'm cutting and so far all is well. Once the blades are nearly closed they start to bind and if I finish the cut allowing blades to close completely, they resist opening again. I have to think about what I'm doing, and use all my strength to open them back up again. As long as I don't allow blades to close completely, I'm all set but who wants to cut for hours under those circumstances. I bought this brand because I thought Tim Holtz had top notch quality products. I wonder if Tim wants my five month old scissors.
