5.0 out of 5 stars Great multi purpose scissors - even cuts through chipboard
Great scissors, you can use it to cut almost anything. I even use it to cut through Graffix medium weight chipboard for embellishments and it cuts through the chipboard like butter. I like it also because it has the teflon coating, so when you cut your double sided tape the blades does not gets sticky.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as expected.
A friend has a pair of these scissors. I used hers and loved them so I purchased a pair. It seems the design may have changed or something as they're not as comfortable to use as hers were. They do cut wonderfully.

These scissors are perfect for a multitude of tasks, but I purchased them for my mother to use with her plastic canvas hobby. She absolutely loves them and says they're perfect for her considering she has arthritis!

I would suggest getting these even if you already have a pair of nice scissors because these will almost undoubtedly surpass your expectations and the quality of your current scissors!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best scissors EVER for papercrafting, June 11, 2011

I've been using these scissors for several years, and am always amazed that they can slice through chipboard, cardboard, and plastic (i.e. cutting the backs of buttons off for scrapbook layouts), and then cut ribbon without leaving any fray. The best thing about them, though, is the serrated edge. This makes "fussy cutting" paper and stamped images SO. So. easy. It allows you to pause in the middle of cutting, turn your paper, and then resume without leaving a mark. Whenever friends of mine comment on how neat my cards and layouts turn out, I admit that it's the tools that count. Then I buy them these scissors!

5.0 out of 5 stars These are AWESOME!, January 12, 2012

These were originally purchased for my craft projects but the scissors are wonderful and we have a dedicated pair just for the house. They cut through tin, paper and fabric. They are comfortable to use (padded handles) and highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars These snips are good, not great., March 26, 2011

Good snips for cereal grade chipboard, but not the medium grade/heavy stuff which will really hurt you hands. Fortunately i have a commercial grade paper cutter which can chew it up or i would be stuck with cutter paperback book covers in my bookbinding business. Don't get me wrong, these are good snips, but I could have done better if I had done more research and spent a little more.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, October 1, 2010

I tried these scissors and didn't find anything special about them. I'm used to the Gingher's brand so in comparison these were disappointing. I don't understand why people get so excited about these scissors.
