Under Amazon categories, this is classified as non-fiction and -- whatever it is -- it isn't that.

Set in some kind of slightly alternate reality where atheists have their own television network, this is the story of one relatively ordinary guy's struggle to get a job as a panelist on his favorite atheist talk show.

The pathetic and lonely nature of his life is laid on pretty thickly. The author comes across as imaginative, but not really the greatest story teller. He sketched details where he should have drawn and gave us way too many details about things that weren't that interesting.
