You can never have too many books...,
By Lee "seriousbookaholic" (West Monroe, LA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Toning and Handcoloring Photographs (Paperback)
While I wouldn't classify this book as a technical one - it will definitely whet your appetite for alternative processes. What I enjoyed most about this book was the many great examples showing both the before and after images. I especially enjoyed the examples of dual toning - sepia then selinium, selinium then blue, etc., etc., etc. and again - the images that supported these processes. If you need visual descriptions to get your creative juices flowing - you'll enjoy this book!

Concise manual for toning and hand-coloring a photograph.,
By Victoria Blewer (Vermont) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Toning and Handcoloring Photographs (Paperback)
This book is concise and complete and addresses the many ways to tone and to hand-color a photograph. Toning and and hand-coloring is the "old" method of manipulating a photograph. When I am unable to teach a student, I recommend they us this book.
