From the Manufacturer

Open and play, then fold and go. Easy to set up, this two-level garage playset is full of big excitement. A clicking vehicle lift takes cars up and down. Two folding ramps make it easy to “drive” cars up to the second level, or down to the first. When it’s time to clean up, pack the vehicles inside. A built-in handle makes it easy for little “drivers” to put the playset away, or carry the fun along from room to room. Playset comes with 1 one wheel pals vehicle.

We bought this in the store earlier in the year because it looked so appealing and our two year old loves the little tonka cars. We thought it would be a perfect compliment to his collection.

Wrong.

The unit folds up very neatly I suppose to pack it away, but unfortunately it also folds up very neatly at random times during play as well. The ramps unhook and fall down. The cars get stuck, hands get stuck. Crying ensues. Our son gets more play value out of an empty shoebox. He continues to pull it out because it is very visually attractive, so I suppose it's good if you want to teach your child a good lesson on disappointment.

In summary: There is a reason this is so cheap. Save your money.

this is very hard to review because while it is VERY cheaply made and falls apart constantly, my son is absolutely crazy about it. will keep him entertained for hours. so...while the little ramps fall off if you stare at them too long (they do snap right back on very easily), it is still a great toy for my son, and i do not regret buying it for him since it is such a favorite of his. we also have the 3 lane racetrack (the 3 lanes are at different heights, and he pushes a button to have them race each other), and he loves that too, though he plays with this toy (the garage) longer.

My husband and I had a ball when it came to Christmas shopping for our oldest grandson when he was 20 months old (now 7), knowing it would be the first time we'd see a reaction to toys under the tree! When I saw the name "Tonka" on this, I was a little surprised since the memories I associate with that name are of the big metal trucks my little brothers would play with in the backyard (and sometimes in Mom's gardens, leading to the untimely demise of many a flower!) We'd never heard of "The Adventures of Chuck and Friends", but figured if Tonka was going to put its name on a plastic toy, it would probably hold up pretty well.

Well, we may not have heard of Chuck the dump truck or his friends, but our grandson had and we couldn't get the package opened quickly enough for him! What a cute little set this is - it includes a little Chuck figure (@ 2-1/4"L, 2"H, 1-1/2"W) made out of a rubberish feeling type of plastric, with the playset measuring @ 16"L, 9-1/4"W, 10"H (at the top of the nifty carrying handle), with a little 3-floor elevator, a two-piece ramp descending from the 2nd level, and another section of ramp on a hinge which drops down to connect with the first two pieces when your youngster gives him a push off of the elevator. I was very surprised to get on Amazon (five years after our purchase) and find so many negative reviews... we found it to be a sturdy little set for the price (of course, that was back then... you're always going to pay a premium for toys that are no longer readily available at the retail level), and since the two hinged sections close up with Chuck snugly inside, our grandson took this with us on several occasions where there would be mostly adult conversation, and it kept him content while he passed the time.

I think the idea behind this toy is good - small, easy to fold & travel, a few different interactive options. But the product is not well made. I bought it for my toddler son who loves the Chuck Truck cars. I thought he'd enjoy a playset for them. He does like it, but the ramps constantly fold under the pressure of him trying to "drive" the cars up. He can easily pull them off. I feel like I'm constantly reinforcing (holding with my hand) the ramps to keep them up while he plays or putting them back on after he's pulled them off. His favorite part is sticking cars at the top and watching them fly down the top ramp and out the side. I didn't like the large side of the Triple Track Tower, but now wonder if he would have enjoyed it more.

I bought this even after reading the reviews because my two year old has a big brother who helps him out with his toys when they come apart. I had bought the Fisher Price garage and he kept losing the accessories so a toy that can be packed up is good. Yes this is flimsy but he doesn't care. He loves Chuck and Friends. He plays with it and then thinks it's neat to fold it up and carry it around. I would never pay this $19.99 though. I paid $10.99 and not on Black Friday either. And Kmart has it for $9.00 right now. A much better price for what you get. I would have given it 4 stars except for this price.

My son received this as a present and it is terrible. As others have said, the ramps snap off all the time. Finally, the tab on one of them broke and I can't put it back on. It also took no time at all for one of the tabs that keep it folded to snap off in it's corresponding hole, so now it won't stay closed either. It's a rip off even on clearance for $15--don't buy it. My son still likes it because of the car elevator, but from my perspective, I wouldn't pay $5 for this.

The yellow ramps constantly fall off. I don't even know where these ramps currently are. My 23 month old still enjoys playing with this dispite the ramps being lost. We have the fold and go quarry also and we haven't had any quality issues with that model, infact my son plays with it almost everyday. We keep it on our train table. Don't bother spending your money on this one though it really isn't worth it. If given the choice I would absolutely not buy this product again.
