A great game for a kid who wants to do more than mash buttons,

This game is challenging and fun! It requires the player to think a little to complete puzzles in the form of "Jobs" by utilizing the right trucks (each one is better at different things), finding shortcuts, and thinking of clever solutions. This is a great game for a kid who likes to have fun while solving interesting puzzles!

My five year old son cannot stop playing this game. We brought it to Grandmas house and realized that we needed to change the bit size of the screen. If the game does not load and you get a black screen you just need to make a few adjustments. You should be able to do this by looking in the hand book.
This game is challenging. I much rather my son play a game that is going to make him think a little bit than just sit there mindlessly. I am looking to replace our copy because the disc cracked in an accident. You really need to think and use the correct machine for the job. Over all my son loves the game. we have all of the other TONKA pc games and this one is more difficult than the others. I would not recomend this as your first game. Look for some of the other TONKA pc games to try first.

My 4 1/2 yr old son loves it. Version PC-Rom 2000/XP/Vista. He likes the fact there are so many vehicles to use(the number increases each job/level) and he gets to build different things. The graphics are really good. The booklet could be a little more helpful, but most of what you need can be found via help in the game.
This game allows the use of keys on the keyboard OR the mouse. He likes to bounce back and forth depending on which vehicle he is using. He is not up to speed on knowing about using too much fuel or time on the job in order to get more stars, but he keeps trying until he gets the job done, or asks for some help to get him going again. Since he cannot really read at 4 1/2, there is an option to turn a voice on for instructions which is very helpful. Granted, there are some scenarios which I have to help him figure out how to move/build/get around something, but once he sees it, he can pretty much do it and move on. There are a couple of vehicles that are a little difficult to line up, but he doesn't seem to mind trying. Even if he doesn't know what he is supposed to do in the new/harder stages he gets to, the fact that he is 'driving and operating' these trucks/vehicles is many times good enough for him until we sit and figure out how to do it. The key is not to let him get frustrated as little ones can for these type of games. Help guide him through by showing him or asking him what you should try if he can't get any further. When he thinks he figured it out, he gets excited and wants to keep going on his own.
