Tonka Toy Mighty Motorised Red Fire Engine Truck

Bought one for my son two years ago; he is now 4 and a half and he still plays with it (still going strong) and one for his cousin for this past christmas (all he wanted was a firetruck). The lights, sounds, movement of the ladder are cool. You can't go wrong with this truck if you want something that is sturdy and fun for a little kid.

I bought this from Home Naturals Inc. also known as Bonters Inc. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

GOOD: The package did arrive 2 days before the expected date.

BAD: The toy's original packaging was torn in several places, and totally out of shape. It looked like a used toy purchased in Goodwill. (Amazon's packaging was fine).

It basically looked as if a kid previously played with it, tore it, stomped on it and then put the firetruck back in the box and send it to the next customer. I wish that I could attach pictures so you would see that I'm not exaggerating.

Also the fireman in the picture, is not included in the box. You have to buy a SPECIAL version of the firetruck that comes with the fireman for extra $$$. Since it's in the picture of the special and non-special versions, I assumed it would be included. I call this false advertising.

I bought this present for my nephew's birthday, and it was in such a bad shape, that I have to return it. I bought another one through Amazon but from a different seller, (this time WITH the fireman, and for the same price), but this time I had to pay for shipping.

Neither the Bonters or Amazon, were willing to drop the $6.99 shipping charges for the inconvenience that I'm going through, and the fact that the boy will not get his present on time for his birthday.

I was very pleased with it..recived it in the time said and it was in perfect condition...It was a fire truck for my 3 yr old granddaughter's b'day...She had played with one for the first time at her cousin's and loved it and when we returned home I knew that's what I was getting this very girly little princess..Only think I was concerned about was it did not really have a very good discription of it, like size and so I took a chance..I got lucky, it was the same truck..

The package shows that it comes with a fireman, but the one shipped to me did not have any fireman. Also the price is much more than Toys R us. The toy box also had some garbage in it. Since my child will not be happy if he doesn't have it for a few days while I return and get a new one, I am just going to have to ignore the obvious flaws with this particular item

This was the perfect Christmas gift for my 2 1/2 yr. old grandson. He loves it. Strong and durable, it will stand up to his play for years.

Bought this for my 5 year old grandson. Immediately upon opening it he pulled the ladder up and jammed the gears. There are levers that are battery operated to raise and lower the ladder. We were able to get the gears back into place but are disappointed that Tonka would put their name on something that has to be handled so gently. The truck is plastic with plastic gears. Nothing like the Tonka firetruck my sons had when tney were growing up. Expect this won't last more than a month before it is completely broken.

Got this to replace a similar truck that got run over. Grandson was very excited with it. Has a fireman, and other little pieces that made him think it was grand.

Arrived in fast time for Christmas for my grandson. He was pleased and so was I.
