I think this sequal to the first Tony Hawk's is better by far. the graphics are much more realistic and you can even make out the features on the skaters face which you couldn't really in the first. There are so many more tricks to master and with loads more levels and hundreds of tasks this game will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through. There are many more character friendly enviroments and more characters than ever before even the practices are excellent. There are many more characters to unlock including Officer Dick and Spiderman. This game is a must for all sport game fans, and even those of you who are not so interested in sports.

Awesome game. Just simply put a must buy. I've never done more then pick up a skateboard, yet still enjoyed this game. A lot. Being able to make your own skate park and skateboarder is a ton o' fun, just because you can put your own style into the game. I definitly recommend this game. The only reason I give it only 4 stars, is even though you have a ton of options in this game, it is still a skateboarding game, and to some, that might not be apealing.

I own the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater for Playstation and I was so hooked on that game I thought it could never be topped. Then I got a Dreamcast and I bought Tony Hawk 2 not knowing what to expect, and I was very, very satisfied. Tony Hawk 2 gives the word fun a new definition, the skate parks are better designed than that in the original game, and the create a park and create a skater options are great additions, plus Spider-Man is a secret character. You can't beat this game, it's addicting, fun, and if you own a Dreamcast you should own this as well.

tony hawk's pro skater is the best game i ever played. the cool thing is you can make your own courses, create skate boarders and you can put tatoos on them, there are 3 new skate boarders, more secret characters, new levels, new tricks, and 2 diffrent styles for each skater exept for created ones. i think every one should buy it even if they don't skate board!

This is a great skating game. The graphics are great and the levels are way bigger then they were in the first tony hawk. The tricks are way cooler and there is a lot more to do then in the first one. Even if you are not a big video game fan this is the game to get. If you don't like this game i'd be very surprised. It is cool how you can combine tricks doing a manual to another trick. I definetaly reccomend this game.

The original Tony Hawk Pro Skater was considered the best extreme sports game if not the best game of all genres. You'd think it'd be hard to improve on the success of the first, but Neversoft did it making a game that's not only larger, but also more rewarding. You have all the original characters plus 3 more, you have more objectives per level, and more secrets to open (get 100% with a character to open up a cheat). Besides that you can now make you're own skater and you're own park and you've got replay value that can't be beat. Add on top of that the new manual move, and you can send your scores through the roof once mastered.

It may take a little time to master the controls, but it's easy enough and once you do learn it's almost second nature. I recommed this game to everyone.

I've been hooked on this game ever since i bought it!You've got to get this game!It's got sweet music and awsome levels.It's also got tons of new tricks and decks!!If your like me and love getting massive and busting 900's then this is the game for you.

This was the first game I purchase for my Dreamcast, and it's the only game I've purchased. The graphics and tricks are awesome, if you are remotely interested in skating this game will completely satisfy your interest with several skaters, skateboards and quite a few levels.

What is really challenging about this game is that you must collect 5 tapes in each level, some tapes are more difficult to get than others, so it may take a few rounds around each level to get all of the tapes. The oject is to collect all of the tapes in each level, and get all gold metals in the competitions, this would be to fully complete the game, but not all of the tapes are required to visit all of the levels. With the completion of each tape, you may gain access to new levels, increase your player's statistics, or gain new skateboards. Hours of fun, have to recommend this game to everyone who owns a Dreamcast.

Honestly, id give this game a 4 3/4 stars, mayve even better than that but not a perfect 5 for one reason, they shoulda have added the clasic levels too, like the mall, the first wood level..just all of them..... but this is personally one of my favorites. the first time i played the demo of tony 1, i fell in love with it, i spent hours and hours just playing the demo(which includes one skater, and one level),the same summer when i went to the states, that was the first game i bought. then rite after i started playing it i read up a prieview on Ign.com saying that tony is hittin the streets again, i knew my life wouldnt be complete without this game, an this is the best and most actioned packed sports game i have ever played, and now im waiting patiently for tony 2x on the x box.......

tony 2 is way better than the first one, better music, better ppl, better grafix, custom skaters and parks, but they should have included sum levels from the first one, then i would have have given this game a perfect, but everyone.....not just a skater, not just a gamer, but eveeeryone should add this game to his or her game library

I want to stress at the forefront that I am not, nor have I ever been, a skateboarder. In fact, I was never interested in the sport until I got my hands on the original THPS.. afterwards I made sure to grab THPS2 as soon as I was able to. Quite simply, this is a must have game for anyone who enjoys an 'arcade' style game. You feel completely in control of your skater as you fly through, around and over more obstacles than one would believe.. and new to this version is the ability to create your own skater and skate park, which only adds to the replayability.

The soundtrack adds to the atmosphere in an amazing way. Pumping the soundtrack through my surround sound system makes me feel like I'm actually on the board myself.. no balance neccesary, thankfully.

As for children, the game may come as a bit difficult for younger users to pull off some of the goals the game set, however the game play itself should pose no difficult problem. The soundtrack may boarder a bit on the aggressive side, and although I've admittedly not spent time examining every lyric, should be acceptible for younger ears. The only violence visible is a slight amount of red liquid escaping the skater if/when he wipes out.

Simply, this is a game that belongs in every Dreamcast owners collection. It combines all aspects of a perfect game.
