This game is one of the better baseball games on retro systems. If you enjoy old-school, throwback consoles, this game is a solid pick if you are in the market for a baseball game. It was one of my favorite games growing up, and I played a lot of them. It was one of the first games to keep track of your statistics during games, although unfortunately it didn't have a battery backup to save them once you powered off the console, so you will lose all of your stats once you power off. You could always just leave the console on as I did as a kid lol. Seriously, it sounds funny, but I would leave the console on for weeks at a time, and the Genesis console is just about bomb proof in my experience, so I don't think you're going to burn up your console or cartridge. It was also the first game to feature functioning bullpens in which you had to warm up pitchers before subbing them into the game, making it arguably the most realistic game of its time. Although there are obviously more realistic and graphically astounding games on more modern consoles, but if retro consoles are your thing, this could be the game for you.

GREAT GAME but...I bought the game for my boyfriend from Pellas DVDS when it arrived it was the wrong game. They sent me Tommy Lassorda baseball...I sent the seller an email stateing I was sent the wrong game... this game was 1 cent, the other, 3.99 was shipping. First I was told in a badly written email that they would refund the money ( i did this with a non reloadable card).I really dint wanna go trough all this, i would not have orderd offline if I wanted more bad service.SO, he sent me one back, saying he dint read the email correctly, saying he would send me the correct game, and a RETURN ENVELOPE... so i waited for that. He sent me the game, but with NO return envelope. GRRR, I sent off the wrong game back to him, useing my own money..that card was deactivated when it was empty, I believe he should have sent me the return envelope. I DONT CARE ANYMORE.Din't wanna post a comment either, but amazon wont leave me alone about it. 5 emails to rate this,SO HERE, now leave me alone. forget about it... I KNOW YOU TRIED, but it was to much attention to this issue TO LATE. AND BEING TOLD YOU WASNT PAYING ATTENTION WHEN YOU READ THE EMAIL, LIKE WITH THE GAME, UPSET ME TO... Maybe your too busy Brian, you should get some help...
