This collection is not original recordings but a combination of "The Big Hits" and "House of Strangers". If you're a die hard collecter and want the cover art etc, go for it. If you are looking for original recordings, this is not what you want.

I own dozens of compilations, and have yet to be burned by the re-recording bug until this one. Let's just say the lure of acquiring "You're All I Need To Get By", which is practically impossible to find elsewhere, was too great to resist, so I failed to do the research I otherwise would normally do.

The cover photograph makes this set very deceptive. Often when artists re-record their material, the cover photos will depict them in their more mature years (even another Tony Orlando re-record-fest, "Big Hits", features a cover shot of an older Orlando that hints strongly that the collection may not be of originals). However, this package features a cover photo that looks as if it came right out of the 70's, suggesting that the CD features the original recordings.

Anyway, don't let your guard down like I did. If you want to ensure that you're getting original songs, do your homework!
