5.0 out of 5 stars So much fun to read!
Thank you Andrew Ross Sorkin.

For 2 reasons,

1) He talks about the pre and during crisis periods in such a fun manner, because the characters are Paulson, Geithner, The Wall Street CEO's... so you get a really interesting insight on how they are, and the discussions they were having...

2) I've read many financial books, about the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Maybe I was looking for something different. I wanted an analysis of why the banking crisis happened. Instead this book is a newspaper account of what happened, with very little of why or how to prevent it in the future. Worse, this book is boring.

That's why I think the book is a real success...

This is a well written account of how close the world economy came to the brink of economic ruin. It causes you to reflect on leadership, governance, regulators whilst causing you to question the issues you see day to day in business. Well worth a read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Too Big to Fail, April 30, 2011

The book is a perfect depiction of how the GFC came about in 2008. The author provides some very interesting insights of the CEO's of the largest corporations and the US Fed.
Too Big to Fail is a good reminder of how poor corporate governance and greed in conjunction with inadequate regulation and a lack of understanding by the ratings agencies brought down the world economy.
A book worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book, August 14, 2011
This review is from: Too Big to Fail (Paperback)
Great book with excellent characterization. Along with detailed version of what exactly happened during financial meltdown the author has done great psychological profile of all characters. You must watch the movie after reading the book.

I wish the author now writes on debt ceiling fiasco.

5.0 out of 5 stars LONG, BUT A REAL PAGE-TURNER, August 12, 2011
This review is from: Too Big to Fail (Paperback)
I've read many books on the recent crash, but none to equal Andrew's tome. I kept giving myself hell for being such a slow reader. A great book. A good movie. And congratulations on The Squawk Box job at CNBC. Now I can understand the futures as shown on The Sorkin Board.
