TOO MUCH DRAMA,
By
This review is from: Too Close for Comfort (Paperback)
APOOO Rating-4.5LaJill Hunt definitely delivers a page-turner with Too Close for Comfort. Quianna Westbrooke and her brother, Quincy Westbrooke, are the main characters in a DRAMA-filled saga. There is drama with family, baby daddies' family, friends, and lovers. Quincy is dating Paige Michaels. He thinks he has found the one. That is until she allows her past to interfere in their romance. She gets caught up with her baby daddy, his mom, and his new wife. Someone close to Paige goes through great troubles to try to pull them apart. Then we have Quianna, also known as YaYa, who is dependent on Quincy to pull her out of any and every jam. He decides to help her live out her dream of owning her own shop, a nail salon, by allowing her to have the space next to one of his four barbershops, Q-maters. This only allows YaYa to be deeper into his business...personal business that is. I read the book in ONE sitting. I could not help but continue to turn the pages to see what would happen. I would have definitely given this book a 5 had it not been for the oversight of the main character's name. I see that I now need to go back and read "Shoulda Woulda Coulda", which is the prequel. Definitely recommend this book. Donnica Copeland APOOO BookClub

Boiling Over,
By Nardsbaby "Connoisseur of the written word™" (Westside Chi-town, IL United States) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Too Close for Comfort (Paperback)
Too Close for Comfort is a fitting title especially since we're back to the drama at hand with the crew from Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda. Yes, the endless enigma, charisma and DRAMA, which La Jill Hunt is bountiful with, are in full effect.Paige and Quincy look as if they can be moving into the serious stages of a relationship. That is if they can keep the haters out of their business. But, maybe there is something to all of these accusations. Could it be that Marlon and Paige have some unfinished business? If it were you, what would you believe your ears or your eyes? Too Close for Comfort boils over with challenges, acceptances, fake friendships, lying mates, and a broken families. As always readers were graced with a visit from some of the memorable original characters.

IT'S DEFINTELY TOO CLOSE,
By Ms LeDiva "Diva loves drama!" (Dallas, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Too Close for Comfort (Paperback)
Too close for comfort is a book that everyone can relate too. i hate when family turn against you for someone that's not even in your family just to hurt you. Jealousy is a vicious thing as Paige found out with her cousin Celeste and her own Aunt.YaYa us a self centered tempermental diva that needs to get a clue and stay out of her brother's love life. she based her feelings on Paige by what some one who ray Charles could see was jealous and out to hurt her which just shines the light on how petty some women can be. The only thing i would change about this novel is the title but other than that it's a page turner and will not dissapoint! This is my first la Jill Hunt novel i've read and i must say that i am impressed and i was glad when Paige gave Celeste what she'd been needing. The men in this book are typical and the women as well. i love the friendships that Monya, T and YaYa all have and they're working towards a goal and not depending on someone else to do it for them. i can't wait to see what trhe sequel i know that's coming has in store.

A Wonderful Sequel,
This review is from: Too Close for Comfort (Paperback)
Quincy Westbrooke wants to get out of the dating game. He's looking for a tall, attractive, independent woman with no kids and no drama. All of his expectations are thrown out the window when he meets Paige Michaels. Paige is still dealing with her own drama and is trying move on without Marlon. Marlon has gone on to marry someone else but he still wants to keep tabs on what Paige is doing. Charysse Westbrooke never takes "no" for an answer especially not from her brother Quincy, but that's all he seems to do lately since Paige has entered his life. Charysse has her own drama when she and her friends finally open their own hair salon.Too Close For Comfort is the perfect sequel to Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda. I liked how the story continued with Paige and Quincy. You really get to see the development of their relationship. I also liked the introduction of Charysse and the ladies of the After Effex beauty salon. I can't wait to see these characters in another upcoming novel. This author once again did a wonderful job with creating a perfect mix of engaging characters and non-stop drama. Too Close For Comfort is entertaining and delightful.

Can't Wait for the Sequel!,

I love LaJill Hunts books. I read this one in one day. I was actually mad that I finished it so fast. I wanted more drama. I hope YaYa and Fitz end up together in the sequel.

Not much too say.... I LOVED this book!! I enjoyed it from beginning to end. If you are a La Jill Hunt fan, you have to add this book to your collection. This book is the follow-up to Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda (or something like that)! The book ended with a real juicy cliffhanger....

This was a good book, but it seemed rushed toward the end.,

I read some of La Jill Hunt's other books (Drama Queen, No More Drama, Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda) and loved them. I thought Too Close For Comfort was a good book as well, but I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the ending. It seemed rushed and there were a lot of unresolved issues. However, there is supposed to be a sequel coming out so I am planning to buy that one and hopefully some of the open holes will be filled in the sequel. All in all, I say Ms. Hunt did an excellent job on this book!

not all that,

I was hoping for more and was disappointed. the book ended quickly and seemed rushed. I was not expecting that the story line was uninteresting and lacked substance. I hope she does better next time out.
