5.0 out of 5 stars I bought one for all my friends with daughters
I love this book. It helped me communicate what I have struggled to discuss with my 28 year old daughter for some time. While we have a basically good relationship, I have so much guilt when I say no to her and she doesn't make it any easier. When I look at her face and see how disappointed she is with me, I get angry. Sometimes I feel so unappreciated-

3.0 out of 5 stars Too close for comfort, a must for mothers and daughters
I only recently discovered the complexity of the mother/daughter relationship which I thought I had been, until now, able to overcome. Until I read this book which enlightened me so much. An excellent tool which I immediately shared with my daughter in the hope it will also help her in dealing with her own daughter.

I read the book and then gave it to her. She read the book and we were able to both express ourselves and learn how to be close but not too close. I no longer hold the same frustration and resentments. We have a much cleaner relationship.

This is the book I have been looking for. My relationship with my teenage daughter has gone through it's good and it's bad and this book helps me understand the bad a lot better. I especially appreciated the stories of other mothers and daughters and the experiences they share.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS BOOK!!, January 27, 2010
As the mother of a grown daughter, I found this book incredibly well written and illulminating on this most important subject. I really learned so much from the book and would highly recommend it. It is a great book on the subject and I really learned a great deal from it.
