More About the Author

Eventually Debby moved to Martha's Vineyard where she owned a business with each of her two sisters and where she sold her knitted creations. She eventually started a small business of her own, Debby Ware Knitwares, where she continues to design and produce her wonderful knitting patterns and kits. 5.0 out of 5 stars cute -- with solid, practical advice, June 2, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Too Cute!: Cotton Knits for Toddlers (Paperback)
Yes, the designs are adorable, creative, and a reflection of the author's artistic sensibility. They are also fairly easy to execute. What I appreciate most are the practical tips sprinkled throughout. When the book arrived, I was in the midst of a project for an adult. Still, I was able to immediately apply some of the author's suggestions -- with excellent results. This book is a 'must have' for the serious knitter with little ones in the periphery.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clever and Fun!, May 30, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Too Cute!: Cotton Knits for Toddlers (Paperback)
I am really enjoying "Too Cute," which was given to me as a gift. The instructions are clear and the projects seem relatively easy to knit and still creatively challenging. I'm already at work on a sweater for the son of the friend who gave me the book and have learned a few new techniques, plus I like the humorous way the book "reads." Knitting is a fun hobby, not rocket science. I especially appreciate that the book includes sweaters and hats for all seasons...this book will keep me going through Christmas.

The photographs of the items in this book are like looking at the beautiful cakes and pastries in a bakery... but without the calories. The outfits, beanies, and booties are toooooo adorable. However, what really makes this book worth every cent I paid are the straightforward instructions and the tips that accompany each project. I am tempted to make some of the four pointed beanies for myself. They are beautiful and festive... I can't say enough about this book. I just hope Mrs. Ware comes up with another publication as beautiful and creative as this. Enjoy!
