Delicious Drama and Intense Intrigue for Too Good to be True , February 19, 2009 By L. A. Gayle (Newport News, VA) As a member of the Reading Is What We Do Book Club,and having met NDEA B. in person in January of this year, I have to say she definitely gives her all to her book, Too Good to be True.! Stimulating and sizzling with drama galore from beginning to end, she has created characters you can relate to and definitely form an opinion about..smile!!! Escalating with intense intrigue, the readers will find themselves anxiously waiting for what will happen next and when it does, you just might find yourselves filled with emotions ranging from empathy, wonderment, indignation, humor and anger, to downright thinking & the sistah must be out of her mind letting him get away with that...!& Definitely an attention grabber..buy it now! I can't wait for the sequel! Way to go, NDEA!! --Reading is what we do Book Club

I couldn't put it down, February 6, 2009 By The Book Bandit & The Book Bandit I really enjoyed this novel by Ndea B she took you on a roller coaster ride her charcters were easy to identfy with. she gave great detail when needed. This was a book that you could laugh, cry, and be like what the hell just happened I am truely waiting on part two to this series. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves a good story with steamy and hot plots. This was your first novel I think you did wonderful, keep them coming. --The Book Bandit

This is author NDEA B first novel, it is the first of a four part series. Her second novel title The Other Brother will be released in July of 2009. The second part to Too Good To Be True will be released in October of 2009. When Jasmine first met Emmanuel she turned him down flat out, but a month later they couldn't get enough of each other. Even when things go awry they still try to give their love thing another try. Their road to redeeming their love is never easy. As they try to make their situation work they continuously run into past lovers who will try anything and everything to end their courtship.

I liked the fact that all of the characters were involved in the storyline somewhere and were connected to one another. This kept me interested throughout the book. I also enjoyed the idea of the main characters still gave love a try after being hurt in the past. This book was far from your typical `hood' book.

There were a few things that can be corrected that author can incorporate to improve ratings on future books. There were times where you couldn't tell who was talking because of the structure of the sentences. The paragraphs can also be put together a little better. In some instances I had to go back several sentences to distinguish who was leading the conversations throughout the book.

Despite the corrections that can easily be updated in future printings, I can't wait to read the sequel of this book!

Reading this novel was not only a quick and easy read it was captivating. Reading the story of two people who fall in love when they are still healing from a broken heart was so moving. I enjoyed this read mainly because it was relatable, and straight to the point. NDEA B made a great debut with this novel and the fact that it ended for abruptly only means one thing, there is a part two. You will laugh, and vision the characters that she created. I am anxious to see what happens to Jasmine and Emmanuel because just like them we always have to fight for love.
