Love Lynne Graham!
I love almost all of Lynne's books. This was one of the first that I read about 20 years ago, and it was one that really stuck out for me. A good read.

Excellent example of a spouse abuser - why is this glorified?
Horrible story!! The main character puts up with physical abuse and emotional and physical threats to control her behavior by the love interest. He promises to "break her beautiful neck" repeatedly for even talking to another man in the course of regular daily interractions let alone accepting any offers of male friendship or hospitallity as she travels to a different...

Horrible story!! The main character puts up with physical abuse and emotional and physical threats to control her behavior by the love interest. He promises to "break her beautiful neck" repeatedly for even talking to another man in the course of regular daily interractions let alone accepting any offers of male friendship or hospitallity as she travels to a different country. He man handles her. He assumes she is scheming against him in every action and friendship she has, tries to isolate her. In the end he apologizes??? I don't think so! This type of abusive behaviour does not just "go away." The fury and physical violence exhibited over minor inconveniences and women not "doing as they are told" by him (in his other relationships with sister and female staff too) cannot be tolerated or glorified as 'manly' or as a quality of a good mate. Ugh! I kept hoping for redemption... but alas... I'm tossing this one in the trash and getting it out of circulation!
