Josie was a character I could identify with in the sense of her insecurties with men, due to her weight gain, and also the fact that a past relationship had been verbally abusive, often putting her down and making her feel inferior as a woman.
In her professional life she's in control, that is until she goes to her Uncle's Fire Station to photograph the fireman for a charity calendar... when she sets sights on the new addition to the crew, she is instantly drawn to his good looks and his sexy smile.
Marco flirts, she blushes, he smiles, the stutters, he is upfront with his intentions and she's growing warmer by the minute.
Marco is attracted to Josie, and that surprises him as he normally dates women who are brash and brazen, but with Josie she is sweet, shy, and flustered around him, and it leaves him intrigued, not to mention that he thinks she's beautiful.
Marco and Josie are two good people, and Marco treats Josie good from start to finish and not only do they become lovers but friends too, while you don't get any I love you's in this book, your left knowing that they may very well be headed that way.
You've got a meddling Cupid, and a misunderstanding that could lead to disaster... you won't be bored reading this book.
