Reward for lost love in the city.,
By
This review is from: Too Late to Change Me (MP3 Download)
Jeannine Hebb is a New York City discovery. I saw her live a while ago and was amazed at the range of her voice and the sincerity of her lyrics. Some may compare her to Norah Jones and KT Tunstall, but she's definitely a voice on her own right. Her songs create a scene of the busy metropolis of a city where people sometimes forget to find love. Songs to note in this 6 track EP are "Only Ones", "All the way down" and "Whatever you want."

Wow - what a great set of original tunes. Jeannine mixes up the tempos, styles and keys from one song to the next. I especially love the way her songs go in unexpected directions - melody mixups - harmonies moving from one instrument to the next. If you'd like to hear what Norah Jones would sound like when crossed with Sheryl Crow with a dash of Radiohead and Gillian Welch thrown in for extra seasoning, you should give this a listen. Great start. Now we want more!
