Too Many Secrets Too Many Lies II contains a host of characters all keeping secrets and telling lies. The first one being DeShun who is still stuck on his ex Kayla. So much so that he rapes her in the opening pages of the book. Then there's Angela who is obsessed with DeShun. After learning about the rape Angela sees fit to actually threaten Kayla! When Kayla's fiancée Damian attempts to protect Kayla from the likes of Angela he's bitten off way more than he can chew because he's not prepared for the lengths Angela will go to.

But it doesn't end there, there are at least 3 more characters with so many more secrets and so many lies that readers are going to need a score card to keep track of. Author Sonya Sparks definitely stays true to the title of the book, which moves at a whirlwind pace. However the pace and the multitude of characters and all of the deception left this reader a little overwhelmed.

First i wanna start off by saying i was displeased when i received the book. The novel only had 136 pages,and i felt there were too many characters to try and keep up with who was who. I wish these publishers would stop giving false advertisement if your novel states 256 pages i do not want to receive a book with a hundred and something pages short. not what i paid for. Other than that the book was ok. Loved Part 1.

This book was equally as good as part 1. I gave it 4 stars instead of five for one reason. This book was way to short for that many characters.I would hope that we will not have to wait another 2 years for part 3.

As I picked up this book I tried to remember the storyline from the first part. I knew I really enjoyed the story and didn't see the need for a part II. I see that Author Sonya Sparks kept up with the writing style that made the first part a hit for me. Drama, drama and more drama. I as continued to read, the first part came back to memory.

Kayla takes the lead in this part. We see she has moved on from DaShun, her children's father, only he can't seem to accept the break up. Kayla is doing pretty well as she and best friend Ashland are still business partners and still thick as thieves. Kayla is engaged to Damian and the future looks bright.

DaShun is living in a dream state and he thinks Kayla should not move on without him. Never mind the fact that he is seeing Angela. No, DaShaun wants to have his cake and ice-cream too. When his secrets come to light I was shocked and gasping.

Angela is so into Dashun she is truly disillusioned, she is beyond help. Her mind has been set on DaShun and nothing or anyone will stop her from getting her man. The antics she goes thru will just make you shake your head and pray for her. Angela gives new meaning to the words crazy and deranged. She gives Bianca a run for the title because they both coo coo for coco puffs.

While there are many characters in this book and many from part one make appearances there are no useless characters. There is a purpose for everyone and they all have a past that they are trying to keep secret. As we all know what is done in the dark will come to light. It gets explosive when they come to light. For those that read part one I highly recommend part II.
