Overlooked 80's Metal band, April 19, 2005
This review is from: Too Much Ain't Enough (Audio CD)
I caught Seduce on the documentary "The Decline of Western Civilization Part 2, The Metal years". Seduce is a power trio from Detroit with a sound that is all thier own. When I first heard Seduce I was struck by thier bottom end guitar sound which is tuned down to a D. Add Mark Andrew's barley audible vocals in and you will find yourself listening to this disk over and over. The songs are well written and capture the bands energy. Too Much Ain't enough still holds up, Give this disk a try....you might be pleasently suprised.

Excellent lost gem!, February 6, 2006
This review is from: Too Much Ain't Enough (Audio CD)
I have this on cassette. And it is nearly worn out. This is an incredible album by a band that was almost entirely looked over because they are out of Detroit in an era where if you weren't out of LA you were pretty much overlooked. Right from the beginning with the opening track you can tell this is going to be raw edged, gritty album. Not overproduced at all, this record captures the sound of those early-80's days of LA glam rock, like early Ratt and Motley Crue. Before their sound became overproduced. Interesting tidbit, the song Crash Landing is about flight 255 that crashed taking off from Detroit Metro airport. The band had the song written and recorded with no lyrics. When the plane crashed they had the inspiration to write the lyrics to the song. One of the harder songs on the album, it is probably my favorite.

they should have been the best of the 80's music., January 19, 2006
This review is from: Too Much Ain't Enough (Audio CD)
I bought this Cd when it came out and loved it, but a friend at the time talked me into trading it to him for two other CDs. Anyways I have searched high and low for this CD ever since untill I found it here last week for $25 and bought it. I have over 40GB of music on my 60Gb IPOD now with most of it being music form the 80's. These guys should have been as big as Motley Crue or at least L.A. Guns. They remind me alot of L.A. Guns first CD with a darker more gritty sound, but still with great hooks. so if you love early ICON,Motley Crue,L.A. Guns or even very early Great White before they went soft check this Cd out.

Forgotten gem from the Hollywood hair metal era, April 15, 2011
This review is from: Too Much Ain't Enough (Audio CD)
1988's Too Much, Ain't Enough was the second (and final) album from L.A. hair metal band Seduce. If you're familiar with this band at all, it's probably due to their appearance in Decline of Western Civilization Part II - The Metal Years. Seduce was a fairly typical Hollywood hair band, but they impressed a bit more than say Odin or London did in that movie. There are no real surprises here. Seduce takes the basic Poison/L.A. Guns/Motley Crue formula and toughens it up a bit, serving up nine straightforward, moderately sleazy rockers (and leaving off the obligatory sappy ballad - good for them). Too Much, Ain't Enough is a high energy album that's fun enough to make you forgive the band's general lack of originality. Besides, why nitpick when you could be rocking out to songs like "Crash Landing," "Any Time or Place" or "Too Much, Ain't Enough?" The louder the better. Seduce never did manage to find the level of popularity that L.A. Guns and the like did, and this ended up being their final album. I wouldn't call Too Much, Ain't Enough a must-have album, but it is still a totally fun hard rock album, and if you're a fan of the `80s Hollywood glam/hair metal era, it's well worth hearing. Unfortunately, it's not an easy disc to find. I'm surprised no one has reissued the Seduce albums yet.

One of the best....Ever!!!, October 10, 2010
This review is from: Too Much Ain't Enough (Audio CD)
This CD and band is the best thing to come out of Detroit, I know Eminem and Iggy are great but Seduce represented an era, at leat for me. They were available and awesome live. They should be nationwide legends, it's too bad they never got the chance. *Best Tracks: Crash landing, Accuations and The Slider (T. Rex cover)

Seduce - 'Too Much Ain't Enough' (I. R. S.), July 5, 2009
This review is from: Too Much Ain't Enough (Audio CD)
Originally released in 1988, I remember having the cassette of this title because I liked seeing them in the movie 'Decline Of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years'. Tunes I got the most out of were the in-your-face "Watching", "No Use", the powerful title track "Too Much Ain't Enough" and "Empty Arms". Personnel: Mark Andrews - bass & vocals, David Black - guitar and Chuck Burns - drums. Couldn't locate much info about the trio on the Internet at all - so I'm assuming that at some point, they must've completely fallen off the radar. Might go over real good with fans of Ratt, Guns 'N Roses, Faster Pussycat and L.A. Guns. Sweet power metal to listen to when you're on the road.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Too Much Ain't Enough (Audio CD)
these guys looked glam proably lived there too but they took thing to another level.they were rough&crude like GnR and had a touch of Crue (wildside, kickstrat my heart&shout)but i think they might have seen megadeth play once because they had some fuel injected riffs too.
