Characters Bobby and Mandee explain stranger danger in a way that is accessible, but not frightening, for children. Read it to your child and role-play different scenarios. Create a password only you and your child know, label backpacks on the inside (so strangers won't know your name). Strangers can be men or women, old or young. Adults should not touch, give gifts to, or ask for help from children. If they do, don't keep it a secret! Tell an adult! Arm your child with the knowledge that may save his or her life.

I grew up in Reno, Nevada. Reading and writing have always been a big part of my life. My biggest, and earliest, influence was my father. He came to this country and couldn't speak or write english. Later in his life, he became one of Reno's most prominent businessmen. I have a Master's Degree in Education. I was a sixth grade teacher for ten years. As I taught, I became concerned with the drug and gang problems that are plaguing our nation.

Too Safe for Strangers
This is a "must have" book for all parents and their kids...from very young to newly independent going out alone without their parents. In this complex and rather dangerous world, it is critical for kids to understand how to avoid stranger abductions and stay safe. The book, "Too Safe For Strangers" has a simple and effective method to deal with strangers so they are better prepared if they encounter a bad stranger. This book has very practical and easy steps to take to stay safe. It provides a helpful list of grownups who will help kids in an emergy. Highly recommended!
