Format: Audio CD
I remember the first time I heard this song in the early 1990s - I thought it must be a Dr. Demento production, or PDQ Bach was really going off on a tangent. But no, there they were, larger than life and singing about being models, being hunks, being shirtless, and being everything that I not only wasn't, but didn't really aspire to be (well, I could stand to have a better physique, but I digress).

Of course, I seemed to have forgotten about the song; flashy though it was, and memorable though it was, it just didn't come to the top of my mind on a regular basis. I was reminded of it by C.J. singing it in an episode of 'West Wing', and the next day a dress-for-success modeling event being planned for my college campus - I looked, and indeed I discovered that I had a copy of this among my CDs (not quite in the same section as the Gregorian chants and Palestrina, but again, I digress).

The CD has several versions of this song: a radio edit, and extended club mix, the 'catwalk mis', a instrumental mix, and even a Spanish version. These are all very fun songs. They are high energy, disco-beat kinds of tracks, ideal for dancing and moving, with or without a shirt, even in Milan, New York or Japan.

One commentator at the time of the video release dubbed the group 'the beginning of the muscle pop phenomenon'. Of course, such as movement did not take place in pop music.

Right Said Fred has produced several albums and singles since this song, but nothing has produced the kind of hit, or the kind of staying power, that this one has. The image of them walking down the street, a very overpowering image, remains with me from their early days.

I'm too sexy for this review, so I'll keep it short.

Some dance tracks just stays with you. This is one of them. I hadn't heard this cut for a while. One day the DJ played the extended dance mix on the radio and I was reminded just how cool it is. I DJ and actually felt a little foolish for not having bought this EP sooner.

I put together a sound track for shooting fashion photography, so this was a gotta have. It's silly and fun. And when work is fun, no matter how hard it is, it's not work.
