5.0 out of 5 stars excellent tripped out U.S. drum and bass
Jon Drukman seems like he'd be a cool guy to spend time hanging out with ... based on his album & song titles alone his sense of humor has got to be sick. This is no novelty album, though ... this is some of the most creative, inventive, twisted drum and bass I've heard. This is definitely an album that rewards repeat listening. 4.0 out of 5 stars keeping it cool, July 13, 2006

This review is from: Too Stoned to Sneeze Without Regretting It (Audio CD)
An album dominated with drums and strange beats usually means it's fun to hear a few of the songs every once in a while, but nothing you want to really fork out money for.

In this case... I don't know. Many of the tunes are really interesting to hear because they're layered in such a fascinating way. And, considering I'm usually in the mood for musical ideas that aren't normal by any stretch of the imagination, I'm all for the wonderful ideas featured here.

This is no novelty album, though ... this is some of the most creative, inventive, twisted drum and bass I've heard. This is definitely an album that rewards repeat listening. Complex skittering beats and dubby basslines are surrounded by layer upon layer of otherworldly sounds & bizzare samples resulting in an end result that's sometimes dark, often funny, funky, jazzy, and just plain weird. I love it. Get a hold of the Bass Kittens album, too, for more breakbeat madness. Highly recommended.
