Book Description

The Too children books teach young kids to deal with those things that make us unique, but sometimes challenge our self-esteem.
We all feel we are "too something”: too short, too tall, too dark, or any of the other
"toos" people own.
Children, especially, with their straightforward approach, tend to bluntly point out the differences they see in their friends.

In this charmingly rhymed and beautifully illustrated story, Robby, a three-year-old kid with lots of red hair, comes to accept his uniqueness with pride.

Motivated by his desire to find a hat to hide his red hair, Robby takes readers on a fun and humorous search for the savior hat, while introducing a variety of beautifully designed types and styles.

Which is the perfect hat?

What does Robby finally choose?

Read more:

Will it be a sombrero or maybe a Halloween hat? Dad’s hat or Granny’s? Mom has a few that might do.
But nothing feels quite right: the shape, the color, the size.

By the end of his journey, Robby decides that he has nothing to hide. He doesn't want to cover his head. He is so glad his hair is red. He wants nothing else instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Building blocks for a successful child December 15, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
For anybody who believes there children's reading can be both fun & educational. Personally, I believe in constantly reinforcing my children's individuality and strengthening their self-esteem. This book fits the bill perfectly for what I feel is a crucial building block for creating a healthy mind-set for a young child. Tools for engaging the often difficult and stifling world out there.
Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars `What do you do when your hair's too red?' January 19, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Israeli author and actress Tali Mautner with honors from the Beit Zvi School of the Performing Arts, Film and Television and quickly became the director of International Media Content Acquisitions for several TV channels, specializing in children's content, ranging from toddlers to teens. Mautner was among the team of professionals who established the successful "Logi" channel, an edutainment channel for kids, which teaches knowledge, values and skills through content that is fun and entertaining. She was also the moderator of Shanti Eleganti, a series of TV programs in which she presented vacations with added value for quality family travel. And those are only some of her accomplishments, but here we focus on her enormous ability for writing children's books.

ROBBY REDHEAD is graced with excellent illustrations by Sebastian Caceres and offers a short story about a little boy with red hair who was told by his friends that his hair was too red. Robby at first s sad, but then decides to cover this red hair with a hat - with varying hats, that is - until after a series of adventures with his new looks he finally discovers the perfect `hat' - his own glorious thatch of red hair - and finds his self pride in being unique.

Mautner tells her story with a fine sense of rhyme and keeps the concept of how others, even friends, perceive us to be `out of the ordinary' while at the same time providing a manner in which to find just how special each child truly is. Well done, and highly recommended. Grady Harp, January 14
