Junk from a non-resposive manufacturer, June 19, 2010
This review is from: Tool Logic SLPB3 Tactical Folding 1/2 Serrated Knife With LED Flashlight, Diamond Sharpener and Signal Whistle, Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
Pros: Knife had decent weight and was quite sharp out of the box; I like the locking mechanism
Cons: Sharpening/Flashlight attachment is junk and potentially dangerous; Flashlight worked for one day before cheap plastic internal switch failed; "Customer Service" is completely non-existent, hard to find contact information, and then after three attempts never received a response; The flashlight can't be used outside the knife sheath due to the dangerous, unshielded design of the sharpener (look at the picture, would you want to go into a dark area with a knife in one hand and that pointy sharpener stuck in the other).
Bottomline: AVOID Tool Logic as a company, in general, and this product, specifically, for the same reason: complete lack of quality and attention to detail...

Disappointment, March 30, 2011
This review is from: Tool Logic SLPB3 Tactical Folding 1/2 Serrated Knife With LED Flashlight, Diamond Sharpener and Signal Whistle, Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
I had this knife for 7 months before I lost it, and only reason why I am kinda sad to loose it is that it was interesting novelty. It is actually a good concept but overall bad product.
First, steel used for blade is what you can except from cheapest chinese knock-off knife, it does sharpen quickly but dulls quckly when cutting air.. Flashlight is kinda Ok, but it could have been done much much better.. Sharpener is ok and works, albeit a bit too coarse.. I am not fan of combo blades, but this is not my objection, blade geometry is in fact awful. Cumbersome to use, ment to be hybryd of everything, turned to be a bastard. It does open easily, and locking is good. Whistle is good too. Flashlight is intended to use only when inserted in knife for safety purpose. That is ok with me.. but overall.. too flimsy, too bad quality ( especially the blade). This knife is made in China, I recognise the cheap steel, do not try to convince me otherwise. If its price would be 10-15$ I would have no objections. I am knife afficionado, have good knives I used a lot in real life situations. People, go with Opinel, Case, Mora, Leatherman, Gerber, and other proven brands. ( you can get Leatherman for less money here than this novelty knife) - Tool logic, rethink your product and quality.
