4.0 out of 5 stars Fun little tool
Excellent little multi-tool. However, it has taken some serious wear and tear just sitting in my wallet. I wish it had a little more rugged construction.

2.0 out of 5 stars Some Useful Items But Pricey for what you get
A bit costly for what usefulness it has.
A little flimsy.

1. Brilliant red LED flashlight (Should Have Been White for better signaling & Use)
2. Sketletonized stainless knife (Better than nothing, needed for fire starter)
3. Magnesium alloy fire starter (An actual useful item if you know how to use it)
4. Emergency signal whistle...

A bit costly for what usefulness it has.
A little flimsy.

1. Brilliant red LED flashlight (Should Have Been White for better signaling & Use)
2. Sketletonized stainless knife (Better than nothing, needed for fire starter)
3. Magnesium alloy fire starter (An actual useful item if you know how to use it)
4. Emergency signal whistle (Best Item in an emergency if you want to be rescued)

Could have easily had a ruler, screw driver corner, metal toothpick/awl/large needle all in one, & a reflective surface for signaling(aka Signal Mirror).
Improved the blade with a shoe lace hole for more options.

Better off getting a small/micro multi tool from leatherman or name brand for $20
or get this card just for an ultra portable whistle & fire starter.

3.0 out of 5 stars QUALITY IS QUESTIONABLE, September 11, 2009
This review is from: Tool Logic SVC2 Survival Card Tool With 1/2 Serrated Knife, Fire Starter, Whistle, Red LED Flashlight, Translucent Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
Tool Logic was nice enough to send me an SVC2 Survival card as a sample to my company. Having used their products in the past I was pleased with their track record and quality (my original tool logic card still works after 9 years). The LED light.. excellent. The Blade design and comfort (for such a small blade)...excellent. The whistle... average. However the FIRST time I tried to use the firestarter, the magnesium rod fell off the card. I glued it back on and it will probably never fall off again. However if this had been in an emergency situation, the firestarting capability would have been useless. If you purchase one, test the strip! Considering that problem, It's an average product overall.

4.0 out of 5 stars Neat gadget, January 4, 2012

I'm a "McGuyver type" and always seem to have what I need at hand. This little gadget is exactly as described. The knife is handy as a box opener or for cutting small line. The light is a standard LED and good in a pinch. The tweezers are exactly what you would expect and are perfect for splinters. The whistle is EXTREMELY loud and as other reviews noted, it is the best way to get attention. A 'little' pricey at $18 plus shipping, but I'll carry it always in my wallet. Another note is that it is slightly heavier than you would expect.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good tool, but just good., October 20, 2011

This review is from: Tool Logic SVC2 Survival Card Tool With 1/2 Serrated Knife, Fire Starter, Whistle, Red LED Flashlight, Translucent Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this little survival tool because I was itching to buy a new toy for myself. It was inexpensive, so I didn't buy it with a whole lot of expectations.

Things to like about the product:
Size and Shape is great for pocket carry
The knife is a surprisingly useful size
Who doesn't need an extra led light
Good to have a fire starter...just in case! :)
Whistle works, although I don't think I'd remember that it was there if I needed it!

Things not to like
If you put the knife in upside down, it gets stuck in the case
The toothpick is already broken

I didn't buy it for the toothpick, so overall I am please with the product and would by it again.

Overall, my husband was pleased, but I find several of the extras, not so sturdy. The knife, toothpick, striker and tweezers are very flimsy. Might be good for a beginner, but not for a die hard fan of survival/camping. As the idium goes, you get what you pay for.

3.0 out of 5 stars battery dies easy, January 20, 2011

Battery in the L.E.D. seems to die without reason. Probably shifts around in the wallet a bit. Can't count on that little bitty thing especially if the battery craps out. The knife is fine, whistle fine, tweazers so so, the flint striker is okay. But it did come in a nice box (tin).

5.0 out of 5 stars great for ANYBODY, January 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a very handy little survival kit for anyone, who likes to live and not die. knife is better than you think. everything is light enough to be in a wallet. light is not bad, and pretty bright (without destroying night vision). No matter where you live always great to have a tool which can set fire to things around you, so people know your in trouble. just a great tool to have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Man's survival tool, January 14, 2012

This review is from: Tool Logic SVC2 Survival Card Tool With 1/2 Serrated Knife, Fire Starter, Whistle, Red LED Flashlight, Translucent Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
I love this item. I think it is very versatile and sharp. It is like the modern version of what use to be the swiss army knife. And the fire starter is a great add on to the slim and sleek designed multi-purpose tool. How ironic I think I would call this the mens survival tool when it LOOKS like a credit card when people say a womans survival tool would be a credit card. I love it!!
