Mediocre Content for a Premium Price.,
By Spiritchaser (Sunbury on Thames, UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tool Navigator: The Master Guide for Teams (Hardcover)
First, the book is way over priced for the value it provides. If you are looking to gain good knowledge of Six Sigma tools, you are really better off with Michael L George's Six Sigma Pocket Toolbook, for less than quarter of the cost of this book. This book honestly provides mediocre content for a premium price.
Secondly, I think CRC Press (the publisher) in my view, should win the Razzies award of the Decade, providing the worst support amongst any publishers. There is no place to check errata (or submit Errata), get supporting materials and on top of that I got an acknowledgement for a query that I had about supporting materials, after three weeks, that the Editor is on vacation it would be additional two weeks to get a response. I think Walter J. Michalski could be better off with a different publisher like Apress, O'Reilly etc, but unfortunately pricing himself out of the readership enmasse with the wrong publisher.
