Product Description

Editorial Review

Young players learn color recognition, computation skills, and geography in this colorful board game based on the children's book Toot & Puddle, by Holly Hobbie. Played by two to four players, the game takes Toot, the traveling friend, on a world vacation around the board. At various stops along the way, Toot sends picture postcards to Puddle, the stay-at-home friend. A colorful stand-up mailbox is provided for that purpose. Players toss dice, move to the appropriately colored squares, and use words or pictures to identify postcards. While Toot and Puddle have very different lifestyles, they are always good friends, which helps reinforce concepts of diversity for children. --Lee Strucker

From Parents' Choice®

This game scenario features the adventurous Toot who travels around the game board world and send picture postcards to his friend Puddle, who's having fun in his own backyard. Younger players will enjoy the cooperative version; older ones will appreciate the travel references. A 1999 Gold Award Winner. Recommended for ages 4 and up. (Ruth B. Roufberg, Parents' Choice®).

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing game, January 18, 2000

This review is from: Toot and Puddle Game (Board Game)
This game looked promising and the packaging is very appealing, but the game itself is very boring. My four-year old enjoyed this the first few times we played but now she really has lost interest. Not a game for the long run.

4.0 out of 5 stars good game for beginners, October 4, 2000

This review is from: Toot and Puddle Game (Board Game)
This is a fun game for children who are just begining to learn the rules of game play. It allows for none competative play and later for competative play. The game goes quickly for those with the wiggles. Best for 3 to 5 age group, and made even more interesting if incorporated with the Toots and Puddle books.
