5.0 out of 5 stars Its no gag gift!
This album was givien to us as a gag gift, because my husband is in construction, but I knew how talented Gourd musicians were! We are continually AMAZED at the wonderful quality and sheer talent of your musicians to produce such a terrific album using only tools BRAVO!

2.0 out of 5 stars This is an aquired taste
This is not what I expected; I had seen the television show Tool Time with Tim Allen and on one of the shows, actor's portrayed men from a construction site using their tools to create music. While it may seem strange that I would want to hear Christmas music played by power tools; I just didn't want to hear another round of the barking dogs barking out Jingle Bells...

5.0 out of 5 stars If you love the music of power tools, this CD is for you., November 7, 1998

All of your favorite Holiday songs created in the shop with an orchestra of pneumatic nailers, circular saws, spray paint cans, jointers, jig saw blades and the everpresent shop vac. This is a very musical and entertaining collection of songs. The only thing missing is the smell of fresh sawdust!

A classically-trained musician *and* a woodworker does a great mash-up by using common-found items from the workshop to make Holiday Music. You also gotta love the pic of Woody with the toolbelt and the red plaid shirt we've come to know and love worn by America's Fave Woodworker on PBS.....Norm Abrahm

5.0 out of 5 stars Different and Fun, November 13, 2011
This review is from: A Toolbox Christmas (MP3 Download)
Although I enjoy Christmas music, it gets to the point where the classic pieces all start to sound alike. It takes something unique, like this album, to set them apart. I bought this album several years ago and it comes out EVERY year at the holidays. It is one of my perennial favorites.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well mastered and orchestrated!, December 25, 2009
This review is from: A Toolbox Christmas (Audio CD)
Contrary to the Amazon pro review, this is not really a gag gift. It's my favorite Christmas album in awhile. It's all instrumental, which helps a great deal... and the music is very pretty. The mastering is superb, and it sounds great on a good system. The only thing that I'm not as fond of is The 12 Days of Christmas track, which gets a little tiresome, but that's the 12 Days of Christmas for you.

The music is actually quite good, a refreshing change from every singer putting out some lame Christmas album that only sells because they are famous. I grinned the whole time I listened to this cd.

I just thought to give him some competition on the share the Christmas Cheer thing, well maybe next year somebody will record some Christmas music using chain saws and I can get in line to purchase them.
