Great set for all your sockets,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: K-D Tools 2533 Socket Holder Rack Set (Misc.)
The first thing I did was get out all my sockets and start arranging them onto these things. I decided to do metrics only on this set because they will fill it. The clips are a bit hard to move around until you coat the racks with teflon spray :). This makes them much more manageable, and makes the sockets slide on and off easier too. I recommend you do this. It will also keep the rust away. After coating, I was able to slide all the little nubs around to fit my bigger sockets with ease. I have up to a 32mm socket on there, so it will accommodate all but the absolute biggest sockets imaginable. Now I need to order another set for my inch sockets! Buy 2 if you have a full set of sockets including longies!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: K-D Tools 2533 Socket Holder Rack Set (Misc.)
The product is not bad, but currently at over $16 is almost three times the cost of a competitive product listed below. I struggled for some time on which to purchase and finally purchased both products. End result, I liked the cheaper competitive product better, regardless of the cost.
The 2533 socket holder fits snuggly 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 square drive sockets, but a bit too snuggly. I found myself pushing hard to insert and remove sockets. Once the socket is snapped on, there is no ability to move adjust the position of the socket on the strip until the socket is removed. This is a good and bad thing, but for me, more bad than good. The competitive product was TEKTON by MIT 1885. At first I thought both products were developed by the same manufacture as they look identical but just sold by different companies. What I found was an easier ability to insert and remove sockets with the Tekton, and the ability to move sockets once installed. For me that was great. In addition, it's currently about 1/3 the cost of the KD. I own no stock in the competitive product, look at the prices on amazon and make your own choice based on price.

Sturdy Three Piece Professional Rail Set Socket Holders,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: K-D Tools 2533 Socket Holder Rack Set (Misc.)
This past summer, I purchased many new sockets and had many from 30 years back and better. Some of my old SnapOn metal socket racks no longer held my sockets very well, so I purchased two sets of these K-D Tools 2533.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of these racks was equal to, or maybe even slightly better than my original metal socket rails purchased from SnapOn 30 years back. These are strong enough and offer a snug fit to the socket and the rail, and have more socket holders per rail than I could use per rack - which allowed me to replace the loose worn ones on some of my old SnapOn rails. The new K-D clips even fit the old SnapOn rails like a tight glove - so I ended up getting to reuse some of my old rails with the extra K-D socket clips. Now my sockets stay securely in place on their rails until needed - which is the main reason for having socket rails in the first place. One thing... I didn't buy enough of them for all my tools, so now I'll have to order more. This time though, I won't be worried about how good they are! I just really wish K-D Tools offered these at Amazon in 3/4-inch. The 1/2-inch, 3/8-inch, and 1/4-inch in the set really fit the bill, but I also have a lot of 3/4-inch drive sockets. Don't be fooled, cheaper metal socket rails don't hold sockets securely. Once the cheaper ones become a little worn with use, the sockets fall off all the time - making them completely useless. The quality of these rails makes the K-D Tools 2533 rack set a very good buy. K-D also makes other good tools at reasonable prices- like cylinder hones for engine and brake work. I guarantee SnapOn would have charged me much more for similar quality.
